We had a fantastic stay at the Three Abbey Green. Sue and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and tended to. The breakfast was delicious and hearty - keeping you fueled well into the afternoon. They made good recommendations of things to see and do in Bath. The location was ideal for seeing the sights in Bath and getting to the train station. We had a great room at a very reasonable rate.

We often visit Bath from Devon and have stayed in a few places but wanted to treat ourselves to a stay at Three Abbey Green having seen the building in passing on a previous trip and thought how lovely it looked.
We stayed in Elinor Dashwood, the top room in the Jane Austin wing, one of the cheaper rooms and loved how tucked away it felt. The furnishings are very comfortable and tasteful, the bathroom was wonderfully clean, and the view from our window of the little courtyard was gorgeous. We slept really well with no noise from outside, there were some noisy guests in the room below who came back late but the complimentary ear-plugs did wonders until they finally went to sleep.
The owners are very friendly and super-helpful; gave us lots of local information (including a discount card for some tourist attractions), let us check in early, leave our bags after check out, and even leant us an umbrella for the day when it was pouring outside. Breakfast was wonderful, a small selections of cereals, fruit etc but a large selection of cooked options all using lovely local ingredients and cooked to perfection. All in all a wonderful stay made special by the little extra touches from the owners. We hope to return again sometime soon.

It's good to hear that you had such an enjoyable stay - thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely and detailed review. I'm glad you were so comfortable in the Elinor Dashwood room; while not as spacious as some of our other rooms, it has its own peaceful and cosy character that makes it the perfect retreat on a cold winter's evening. I'm sorry to hear that you were disturbed by noise from the room below but thrilled to see this hasn't deterred you from wishing to come and stay with us again - we look forward to it!

We stayed for the weekend just before Christmas at Three Abbey Green and it was a wonderful experience. Sue and her support staff made our stay comfortable and the place was warm and inviting. Breakfast was amazing and made to order each morning, and they really go the extra mile to make guests feel at home. The post check out care was an extra special touch as well! I can't wait to go back again soon!!

This is a lovely bed and breakfast. It's really central for Bath, right next to the Abbey but tucked away off the road. It's beautiful inside with stylish furnishing and no doilies! We stayed in the Jane Austin annex next door and it was lovely. The owners and staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is lavish, veggie-friendly and plentiful. We will be returning on our next trip to Bath.

The location is fantastic, just around the corner from the Abbey and the Roman Baths (and in the midst of the Christmas markets in December). The room was large and lovely and the owner extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful. A great bargain for Bath and a great stay. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Note that there are stairs to climb if you are not on the ground floor.

We stayed here on an excursion from a longer visit to London. Ideal location for Bath. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Our room on the ground floor was large and comfortable (bed and linens are first rate). We truly enjoyed the breakfast. The cold selections were just right - try the Greek yogurt and muesli. And don't miss the fresh apple juice. Our cooked to order breakfasts were splendid. Incredibly fresh local eggs cooked just right. And the coffee was top notch. We loved the focus on high quality, local provisions. Definitely the place to stay in Bath.

We stayed here for the last weekend of the Christmas markets and it was a lovely stay. We stayed in the Sycamore room and it was perfect for us and we felt very anonymous, which we wanted. The hosts were very welcoming, all their expectations are clearly laid out and they are super efficient and welcoming. The location is amazing, you step out of the B&B into the heart of the city, it's wonderful. My only criticism and I was quite surprised by this was that the breakfast buffet was bland, 4 tubs of cereal with bran flakes, cornflakes, oats and one other that I can't remember. A small bowl of greek yoghurt and some tinned grapefruit. Home made jams which is wonderful but sachets of tomato ketchup and brown sauce. However the range of eggs were brilliant, I wouldn't go for full english as the sausages weren't great but the eggs were brilliantly done and really saved breakfast for us. However having said this we would definitely go back here we'd just make sure we went for the poached eggs. WONDERFUL!

Room Tip: Sycamore was lovely and there were some wonderful family rooms. All rooms are actually beautiful but...

I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. As a small, family-run business we do our best to provide a welcoming service while maintaining high standards in all areas, even when we are very busy.

We take pride in offering a varied breakfast menu which includes a variety of freshly cooked items besides the good old-fashioned full English, and we include a selection of fresh fruit with our cold buffet for those who prefer a lighter start to the day, using as much organic and local produce as possible. We also understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to food, which is why we cook freshly to order and are always happy to take special requests: if you fancy a runny egg and extra-crispy bacon, consider it done! I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the sausage with your full English breakfast; we buy our sausages from Marks & Spencer, as they are guaranteed to be at least 93% pork and gluten free, without breadcrumbs or other bulking agents. I'm glad that you enjoyed the eggs though: they come from happy hens, and I think it really does make a difference!

It's always a pleasure to hear that guests are keen to pay us a return visit - we look forward to welcoming you back.
