“Lovely B+B in Bath”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

Accommodating and welcoming hosts; excellent English breakfast; conveniently located; comfortable what more could you ask? We stayed in a large family room, which was perfect for two adults and a child. Alison and Ian provided us with plenty of good tips for things to do and see and our daughter fell in love with their friendly golden retriever.

We walked into the city (downhill all the way), which took about 40 minutes pushing a pram, and returned to the B+B via bus, which was very convenient and dropped us about 200 meters from the door.

We strongly recommend staying with Ian and Alison.

Ian, Ali and Rufus went out of their way to make us welcome. The accommodation and breakfasts were excellent and I have never stayed anywhere else with such a comfortable bed! Watch out - we will be back!!"

The accommodation is clean and well equipped. We particularly approved of the bed - generous size and comfortable.

The proprietors are helpful and pleasant.

Breakfast has adequate choice and is well cooked and presented.

We approved of the fresh milk for the tea / cooffee in our room - so much better than sachets or carton milk.

Room Tip: Front rooms have a beautiful view over a valley

We had the pleasure of staying at High Beeches for one night with or 17 year old son. He had to be at Bath Spa University for 08.45, so it was important to find accommodation in close proximity, to the university and Bath city. It was in a perfect location.
Alison and Ian, our hosts were very friendly and most helpful.
Our bedrooms were beautifully appointed, spacious and very clean. I have to say it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in with lovely bed linen.
The Cross Keys pub, in easy walking distance from the B&B, was good and the food was reasonably priced
We would happily recommend High Beeches to others
and hope to return soon.

Tips for other travellers.
When booking this B&B, a visit to the historic centre of Bath is obvious. But what to do once you
visited all major points of interest?
Then have a walk in Prior Park south of the city centre, it is beautiful and offers a nice view on the city of Bath. Park up the hill at North Road and walk down for 5 minutes to the entrance.

Room Tip: We booked the largest room. Not only it brings you comfort and space, but it also offers you a nice...

Very warm welcome from Alison and Ian when we arrived.
The room was spacious and well decorated as was the rest of the house. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast and muesli in the morning.
For dinner we took a 5 minute walk to the Cross Keys pub which has fantastic food and large portions!
I would recommend this charming B&B to anyone looking to visit Bath.
