I've eaten at Chequers a couple of times and never been disappointed Last night was no exception. Two of our party shared a salt and pepper squid but it was that good all 4 of us tucked it. It was a large portion. I then had gnocchi with tempura vege, samphire and green beans. Beautiful and light. My work colleagues had lamb, roast CID and baked black bream. All beautiful looking and clean plates after 15 mind! The lemon dessert (deconstructed lemon meringue almost) was a joy! It's not cheap but it's more than a gastro pub in my eyes. Well done and we'll be back!
