“Extra special”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2014

Our recent three night stay at Bodhi House was nothing short of extra special. The accommodation was clean & lovely with gorgeous attention to detail that made you feel like you were at home with an interior decorator. Catherine and Jamie were wonderful hosts with great local knowledge. They willingly gave lifts into town and pick-ups from town whenever required. The walk from town was certainly manageable after a day of walking around town, and gave us some necessary exercise. The breakfasts were outstanding, certainly the best we have had as we have travelled around England and had a brief stay in Paris. You indicate your pretence for a cooked breakfast the night before. In the morning you go downstairs to the kitchen/dining room where there is a selection of cereals, fruit juices, fresh fruit salad and natural yoghurt. Coffee is freshly made and the pot is brought to the table. Everything is so fresh. Catherine then makes your gourmet cooked breakfast . The presentation of each meal is worthy of photography. I can't imagine going to Bath and staying anywhere else. It exceeded our expectations by a long way! I will definitely recommend Bodhi House to friends & family!

Perfect stay in Bath, lovely location overlooking the town centre. 30 mins stroll into town. Decent sized rooms and lovely attentive service from Jamie and Cathering, always keen to help, guide and answer questions. Choices of breakfast were also a particular highlight. Took advantage of the Bath discount fob on your room keys to get discounts at quite a few restaurants and attractions, and the use of Spa was also highly recommended and an added bonus.

It was a real pleasure to stay at Bodhi House. Not only was the accommodation well arranged, comfortable and impeccably clean, but the hospitality was kind, thoughtful and considerate in every respect and the lift into Bath was greatly appreciated. I look forward to a return visit!

We have just come back from a three-night stay at Bodhi House and could not fault it.

Our room was bright and confortable, and beautifully decorated. We had three wonderful nights' sleep in the lovely bed and special mention must be made of the shower and lovely complimentary Neal's Yard toiletries.

We received a lovely warm welcome in spite of our earlier than expected arrival. Catherine was really helpful with directions and the addition of a key fob giving discounts in various restaurants and attractions was very useful. We also made use of the complimentary facilities in the spa hotel int he town centre which was brilliant and an ideal way to relax at the start of our trip.

Breakfast was wonderful- there is a menu full of choices which you select from the night before with the time you want to eat and it is all cooked for you after having fruit and cereals and toast. We very much enjoyed being sat in the bright kitchen, especially when the sun was shining.

Not a criticisim at all but only a comment- the B&B is not in central Bath. It's just outside and is a 20-minute walk. This is fine and actually probably better for most as it means somewhere to park! There is a reliable bus service to drop you at the end of the lane and Catherine and Jamie do offer lifts, although we never took them up on this. However if you really hoped to be right in the middle this might be right for you. I should stress they do not advertise themselves as being central.

All in all we had a lovely break. If we returned to Bath we would certainly stay here again and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Room Tip: We were in Room 1 which has the balcony overlooking the front. It was lovely.

My mom and I went on a trip to England, Wales and Ireland. We stayed for two weeks and planned our own itinerary. We really had no idea what we were doing and used Tripadvisor reviews to plan our accommodations. We arrived at Bodhi House and were amazed and pleased at how welcoming the owners were. They immediately helped us unload our luggage and carry it up the stairs. We were going to go eat in the city that night but had a difficult time figuring out how to get to the b&b when we first arrived. After hearing us discuss our difficulty, the owner became our private cheuffer! He drove us to town, showed us the sights! We left late and took a cab back to his house. He drove us into town again the next morning! This place was amazing, extremely clean, safe and had a wonderful breakfast! We can't thank you enough for making our stay so wonderful!

We took a 3 day trip to Bath on a budget and Bohdi House was perfect! The owners were very welcoming and had payed a lot of attention to detail in the rooms (which were also very clean). The breakfast was amazing, and being able to use the facilities at the spa in bath city centre really did make out holiday. Definitely would stay here again if I was to plan another trip.

Me and my friends stayed at the self catering house (21/02 - 23/02), which is next to the b&b that is also owned by the same owners (Catherine).

Catherine was very accommodating with our situation as we wanted to arrive early to get changed for a wedding, which we were allowed to do. The house was in an immaculate condition and well looked after with all the necessary utensils and other bits and bobs.

Would definitely recommend staying here if you are a large group, there were 4 double rooms with an en-suite as well and is only a short walk into the centre of Bath and there was ample parking for our cars.
