My wife and I just stayed at the Tucking Mill Annexe and we loved it! The cottage is charming, decorated well and is comfortable. Bath is an easy 5-10 minute drive away, yet you feel like you're in the middle of the country. So, if you're looking for accessible seclusion in a warm and cozy cottage with a wonderful view, look no further.
There's parking provided, enough for two vehicles. We didn't see much of the proprietors (which is kind of the point on a self-catering holiday), but all of the exchanges we have had with them have been pleasant. All in all, they were everything that we needed them to be: helpful, yet mostly absent (I mean this in the best way).
I would highly recommend the Annexe at Tucking Mill!
Tucking Mill Annexe is one of the most gorgeous little cottages we have ever been to. The surrounding grounds are stunning with views looking down the valley. The Indian running ducks will keep you entertained and the resident owl always makes himself heard which gives the cottage a more country feel.
Parking is not a problem as you park at the rear of the cottage.
Bath is only a five minute drive away. We used the park and ride which is only two minutes away from the cottage and for £2.50 you can get the bus into bath which is only another two minutes away.
The cottage itself is a nice size. The owner makes you feel extremely welcome with milk, cereal, bread, butter ext on arrival. We also had sherry and cookies waiting for us. The heating was already on when we got to the cottage to make for a warm welcome.
There are plenty of little walks around the cottage that you can do. Make sure you read into the history of Tucking Mill as it makes for an interesting read.
All in all we had a brilliant weekend and we would return within a heartbeat.
