This small indian curry house on Moorland road is a local treasure. When I first moved to Bath I overlooked it, but it is now my takeaway of choice.
I have only eaten inside the restuarant once and it is the maddest, tiniest place you could ever be in. You are treated like everyone's best friend (lots of handshakes, backpatting, 'sir and madam'). It's noisy, bustling and provides little room for manoevre!
We came to eat here with friends (we both had small kids in pushchairs-should have known better). No childseats-as you would expect and very little room for the folded pushchairs (they had to store them in the corridor and waiters were tripping over them carry food-not good!). The positive aspect of this is that they went out of their way to facilitate us-all friendly and smiling-even entertaining the kids!
The curries are good value and they have proper onion bhajis (stringy deep fried balls loaded with flavour). I wouldn't necessarily recommend to eat here (unless you like that type of atmos) but you are treated in equal stature when ordering takeaway. Which is a delightful experience and makes you leave with a smile on your face.
