Great location. Very roomy, clean apartment. No easy parking for car near apartment. Car parking a few blocks away.

If you are going to stay in Bath, I would definitely recommend Courtyard apartment 8. Great location, right near the Abbey, but in a quiet courtyard so no noise (apart from those pesky seagulls!). We were in flat 8, which is a basement flat. The windows in the living room are therefore quite high up and the view out is up to the pavement but there is still plenty of light. The kitchen is fully equipped and so nice that we stayed in and cooked both nights instead of eating out. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is lovely, with a great shower and nice toiletries and robes. If I had to find something to complain about, I would say that on the Monday morning you could hear people walking about upstairs from about 8.30, which might have been annoying if we had wanted a lie in, but fortunately we didn't!

The courtyard has a locked door into it, so it really feels extra secure. The keys were left in the key safe for us, which was very handy. Also, Charlie was fine about us arriving well before the usual check in time and leaving well after the usual check out time, which was brilliant, as it meant we could leave our bags on our last morning without having to worry about where to store them.

The other person supposed to be staying with us (on the sofa bed in the sitting room, which was made up when we arrived and also very comfortable!) unfortunately couldn't make it due to the volcano ash cloud shutting down the airspace, but when we make a return trip, will definitely stay in the Courtyard again.

One note, there is no parking, but we parked out of town (free) and walked in. There are also plenty of carparks nearby if you don't mind paying!

I really wouldn't look any further if you're looking for self catering in Bath. This was my second visit to the Courtyard Apartments and I doubt it will be my last; the location is perfect (very central, close to spas, shops etc.) the service is fantastic, friendly and flexible (they let us check in early and upgraded our apartment for no extra charge as the larger apartment wasn't booked that week), and the rooms and facilities are first class. The only reason the 'sleep quality' isn't a 5 has nothing to do with the beds (large and comfy) and everything to do with the fact that people tend to move about upstairs mid-morning. However, my boyfriend and I are usually quite fussy about sleep and it didn't bother us much at all (besides, we really should have been up and about by then!) This shouldn't detract from what has been a lovely stay - I've stayed once for a girls' weekend and once with my partner, and both times I've been equally impressed. My only regret about rating this place so highly is that it might be booked out next time I want to stay!

We stayed in apartment 9 which was just perfect for our weekend in Bath. The apartment was fabulous and in an and excellent location - I don't think you could have got much closer to the attractions! The service we received was also excellent and would recommend to anyone visiting Bath.

We arrived late on Friday night but were able to collect keys out of hours and had a mobile number in case of any problems. Great apartment, really high spec in a brilliant location. Everything we needed for the weekend was provided from towels and robes to an ipod dock. Bread, butter and milk left as a welcome pack was a lovely touch.

This apartment was first class and the location was fantastic - literally 200 meters from the Roman Baths and Abbey we could walk to everything we wanted to see and do for our weekend away. There is no parking at the appartment but parking is avaliable near by (only a short walk) and there are plently of places you can load/ unload the car nearby.

The apartment is accessed through a tidy courtyard which is locked - this made us feel very secure. The accommodation was finished to a very high standard, it must have been recently renovated. There were some really lovely touches such as; the wall mounted flat screen TV and an Ipod Docking station.

The service was great - we were going to be late arriving so arrangements were made for us to pick up the keys which was much more convenient for us. We were given a mobile number in case of emergencies for the duration of our stay and everyone we spoke to was polite and freindly and genuinely helpfull.

I would stay here again and reccommend to family and friends.
