Description: Walk through the doors of Las Iguanas and find yourself transported to Latin America, full of rich, vibrant colours, quirky features and custom-made wooden mosaic tables made especially for the restaurant from sustainable woods in Brazil. Each restaurant is unique and the staff love bringing unusual things back from their travels, ranging from large lobster sculptures to giant drums. The philosophy of Las Iguanas is to serve delicious and authentic Latin American food and drink in an environment which evokes the very best of Latin life. With recipes dating back to the 16th century, the food successfully fuses native Latin American Indian, Spanish, Portuguese and African influences. Working hard to ensure that everything comes from the best possible source, Las Iguanas is proud of its fresh GM free food and top quality ingredients.

We paid our 3rd visit to Las Iguanas on a recent trip to Bath. As usual the food was fantastic. The offer really good deals on the tapas starters and if you go at the right time fantastic 2for1 deals on their cocktails ( very tasty indeed).
The one thing we have found on each of our visits here is that the service is reallllly slow. The staff are friendly enough but you can wait an age to have your order taken, drinks brought to the table, etc.
If you have the patience, this place is well worth a visit, we will definitely be back

We were looking for a restaurant serving food late on a Sunday night in February, and stumbled upon this spot. Only a few other tables were filled, so we got great service, and selected the trio of appetizers. The nachos were average, but the empanadas and one other meat dish were delicious. Good wine selection, but my boyfriend wished they had a larger beer selection. The location is tucked back off the street, and they apparently have outdoor dining in nicer weather. Would definitely recommend.

Went here with a load of people from work - pre booked a table for 14.
To be fair there was a problem with the power that night, but the restaurant wasn't exactly busy and the service was seriously SLOW. The waitress in charge made the young waiter taking orders stop midway through and go round and ask everyone for ID - despite the fact half the table already had drinks and we were all aged 22 - 28. Then the food arrived and two plates had to be sent back beacuse the food was cold, when the bill finally arrived they tried to charge us without taking of the £140 deposit, then a big fuss was caused by the staff getting this de-ducted off the bill! Also the staff did keep mentioning that we had only 1hr and a half to eat and leave due to 'time slots' however, when we pointed out that the food hadnt arrived and so we had little chance to stick to the time slot given the waitress said we could now take as long as we needed?!
Will not ever be eating here again!

PS Pulp cocktail bar downstairs is brillaint though, if a little small!

Stumbled on this place on a Sunday evening and had a great time. Varied south american menu that's different from the standard tex mex one usually finds. Good choice for veggies and rather than being the same as the meat with an extra slop of vegetables, Las Iguanas has devised meals that are just for vegetarians including an imaginative selection of vegetables that are a bit special. We had a tasty meal accompanied by a two for one cocktail at a very reasonable price. Attentive service without being over-bearing. There was a quiet hen party in at the other end of the restaurant and we were sat in an area that appeared to be reserved for couples. Had the impression that on Friday or Saturdays the place would be quite different but when we were there it was relaxed. Outdoor seating area too. Would look this out again on another trip to Bath.
