We enjoyed our stay at the Griffin. Location was excellent, easy walking distance to attractions and shops. Rooms were tired but comfortable, although the en-suites were a little short on space (but the shower was better than it looked). Breakfasts were excellent. We had good friendly service throughout our stay. I'm sure there are better hotels in Bath, but, if you remember that The Griffin is basically a "pub", it provides good value near the town centre. Note that there is no parking here, but there is a huge long stay car park off Charlotte Square which is less than 5 minutes walk.

Room Tip: We had rooms 6 and 7. Although room 7 was larger with lots of windows (as it's on the corner) t...

Great city break. Location is excellent around 3 minute walk from High Street.
We travelled as a couple (early 40's) and had a great time. The staff were excellent, breakfast was great, and the bed was so comfortably.
The pub dates back from the 1700's and therefore do not expect spacious rooms, although for our purposes it was more than adequate. The stairs are quite small and this may be difficult for physically impaired visitors.
The wifi was also good.

The inn is lovely, clean and the personal pleasant and friendly. We arrived early and left late and they stored our luggage.
The breakfast is included and apart toasts and cereals you can have also a warm breakfast. The mushrooms and tomatoes omelette was delicious! And the jam is homemade.
The location is perfect, it's central, near all the major attractions and also to the train and bus station.
This was my second stay at the Griffin Inn and I will definitely choose them again.

A lovely, small, friendly inn.
Our room was a twin ensuite- it was plenty big enough for 2 of us with everything you could need including a range of teas!
The staff were very personable and helpful- they went out of their way to give us tips on where to go and when as well as storing our bags after check out.
Breakfast was just lovely! A range of 'cold' choices to help ourselves too and then an amazing hot selection- the 'full griffin' was yummy and I was stuffed!
We had no noise disturbance during the night and the beds were very comfortable. The room was warm and the shower was fab.

Would recommend and stay again!
Thank you.

We stayed there overnight whilst we explored Bath. We booked the Inn before reading Tripadvisor so was a little unsure on our choice, particularly when we were allocated room 6. I don't understand the bad reviews here, the Inn was great, a good pub, superb food - shower room was not the biggest but I hadn't planned to party in there, it was just for having a shower. We were most impressed by the brilliant white bedding and towels, very fresh smelling and soft to touch. Sunday Morning breakfast was superb, we will be going back.

Don't stay here if you like perfection. If you like quirky this is the place for you. It truly is an old pub with rooms upstairs. Rooms are warm and cosy despite the cold November rain! Staff are super helpful - got my heat on in minutes, wifi no problem, directions happy to help. The staff are young but energetic and very genuine. They are also very interesting peop,e if you take the time to talk to them. My room did have a slant but it added to the charm. Lots of hot water in the shower. Warm tea fixings and cookies waiting in the room when you return. Good value for the money. Breakfast was yummy and substantial

Room Tip: This facility is not for anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are steep.
