This was my first time to Bath and The Halcyon was a great location to restaurants, pubs, and the sites . The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

We have just enjoyed a mini break at the Halycon Hotel in Bath, we enjoyed a lovely couple of days here, the hotel was friendly, room clean with very comfortable bed. The room that we stayed in the bathroom was a bit on the small size. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is in a good central location walking distance for many bars and restaurants.

We had a long weekend at this hotel for a special birthday treat. We usually stay in chain hotels but felt like a change. I was impressed by the images on their website and the fact that they had an attached bar - Circo. The Halcyon was in a very good position just off a main street leading down to the station from the centre of Bath. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who explained everything about the hotel and checked us in. Our room was clean, very small ( which we were aware it would be), with an amazingly small en-suite. The bed was comfy and the room very well equipped and the toiletries were good quality. Tastefully decorated in greys in keeping with the style of the very old building. It was very hot because of the weather and the smallness of the room, but a fan had been thoughtfully provided. We did have a bit of a water leak over the window when there was an enormous storm but this couldn't have been foreseen by the management and they did attend to it straight away. Continental breakfast was served in the downstairs Circo bar and was very fresh and beautifully presented. On the Sunday they offered us a cooked breakfast for a small supplement. The bar was extremely lively in the evenings and there was an outside seating area which was good for people watching. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and we had a good stay.

Room Tip: Probably worth paying for a slightly larger room if you can.

Dear Julie R,

Thank you for your feedback about the Halcyon, its always nice to read. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us and that you also liked Circo bar. The team take pride in their work so I will make sure I pass your comments onto them too. Some of our rooms can be on the small side. Being a listed Georgian townhouse, all our rooms are different shapes and sizes and when people book with us, we do try to let them know the size of the room they are booking which I am glad to see you were aware of. For only an additional £10.00 guests can choose one of our larger rooms if they feel that they need more space but there is so much to see and do in the City of Bath, that guests very rarely spend time in their rooms at all.

Next time you come to Bath please give me a call at the hotel, as a returning guest you are entitled to a free room upgrade for your next stay.

Lovely spacious apartment in one of the best locations in Bath. Near to great eateries, close enough to centre without the hustle and bustle of the tourists. Gorgeous decor which soothed us after a day walking around town. Particularly liked the games and children loved the range of tv channels whilst enjoying their home from home!

Anyone who is thinking about traveling to Bath definitely should consider the Halcyon as their "go-to" place to stay. We stayed in the apartments (Apartment No. 2) and really couldn't have asked for more. They were spacious, clean and had everything we could have needed. The breakfast offered next door at The Porter was varied and delicious. The small details that they took into account considering that we were traveling with a toddler were superb, which included wipes, cutlery, a high chair and even a little teddy for our daughter. The personal guidance upon our arrival with recommendations on places to visit in the region was really top notch, and the location is extremely central. It made our visit to Bath memorable and we definitely plan on returning again in the future!

We stayed for two nights with a group of friends. All of the staff we met were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Our room was tidy and well presented, but a little basic without any drawers or a wardrobe, although it did have somewhere to hang clothes. We would definitely stay at The Halcyon again!
