“Life upstairs and downstairs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

To explore this restored Georgian townhouse, we followed a little booklet tour, with docents in each room. The furnishings were beautiful, but one saw the big contrast between the opulence upstairs and the hard work downstairs. Docents were very knowledgeable and helpful, and regaled us with lots of interesting details about life in Georgian times (not always clean or comfy!). An interesting and worthwhile attraction.

“What a surprise,awaits you”

This, if you can climb the hill, is one of those places that will live in your memories for ages,
The house is a total wonder, the staff so enthused and eager to help, and the furniture is to converted, most on load from the V&A in London

We had an interesting peek into the lives and times of some very interesting characters as we visited Number 1 Royal Crescent. The rooms were amazing and the staff very knowledgeable.

We would highly recommend a visit to Number 1 if you are curious about life in Bath

“Knowledgable docents”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

This is a lovely period house with interesting decorations and docents that are knowledgable about the period, furnishings and inhabitants. Well worth the price.
