“The best Hotel I have ever stayed in. FACT!”
Reviewed 31 May 2012

I couldn't have asked for a better holiday to be honest and a large part of my stay in Bath was all down to the hospitality of the Hotel.
We stayed here in mid May for 3 nights stay.
Greeted at the front door and had our bags taken and our car parked for us.
The staff were very friendly yet professional.
The room No.2 was on the ground - although this would put off a lot of customers you couldn't hear a thing from either other guests or the staff.
Fantastic stylish room - huge bed and very nice greeting gift of chocolates.
Breakfast was amazing and well worth the price it was given. We were staying with a deal so the breakfast was included in our stay so we made sure we tried all the hot dishes out aswell as the large selection of foods for the Continetal. All eaten in a relaxed and quite setting of the hotel. Aswell as the Breakfast the Restaurant is a high-end Dinner venue and it is advisable to book but WOW!!!! The food was one of the best 3 course meals I have had and it is worth spending that little more to have a decent wine (which they have won awards for their selection). Everything is seasonal so that tells you this is a great place to eat.
The staff allover the hotel couldn't help enough. Even if you were sipping a cocktail in the gardens at the back you could ask the barman for advice on where to explore and he would go off and find allsorts of bits of info for you.
The location of the Hotel is set just round the corner from The Circus and theres plenty of shops and restaurants to try out literally minutes walk away. Quiet location away from the tourist thoroughfare but still minutes away from everything.
PLEASE try this place even if the budget is having to be stretched a little - Myself and my partner will be returning there again because of their professionalism of the staff (yet not snooty) and the style of the place - 5 star indeed!

Room Tip: Reserve a table at the Restaurant downstairs via the reception as soon as you check in so not to be...

Just returned from 2 nights at this lovely little hotel in bath , we found it via trivago and booked a classic double , on arriving at the hotel the car was valet parked for us (included in the price) and we was shown promptly to our room on the top floor. The room was really nice had a sofa , nice big bed and bathroom but was very very hot as it was on the 3rd floor and we are having such lovely weather at the moment , being that I'm very pregnant and not sleeping that well I just thought I'd ask if there were any other rooms on the lower floors available where it was cooler, the receptionist kindly moved us to a superior double on the first floor at no extra charge nice high ceilings a bigger bed and a lot cooler we were very happy . Location is really good except I found the hill a bit much in the heat and pregnant but a normal able bodied person would cope just fine, the friendly Irish bar tender suggested a gastro pub round the corner for dinner that evening called the chequers which was just amazing good value and excellent food would highly recommend . Also we visited the thermal spa of which the hotel provide a spa pack to avoid having to pay the £9 per person hire charge .we didn't eat in the restaurant as there are plenty of options in bath but I see from the book in the room this is a double rosette restaraunt and has good review on trip advisor , would definitely recommend this hotel in fact I already have great little gem in the heart of bath

This is a real gem of a hotel, so close to the circus in bath. The unexpected bonus for us was discovering the delightful restaurant down the road, called The circus cafe restaurant. Wonderful service, very interesting, honest food and great value. Do go either for lunch or dinner...

The hotel is perfectly located to visit Bath, in close proximity of the town centre but in a very quiet neighbourhood.
It is beautifully and elegantly decorated within a discrete genre.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable and enchanting, in particular the deluxe where we stayed.
The food is very good and in perfect accordance to the Hotel's standard.

After a hectic weekend elsewhere, a stay at The Queensberry was an absolute delight & the service was outstanding. The staff gave us a very warm welcome and remained friendly & professional throughout our entire stay. I can't fault the hotel in its appearance. Our room was wonderful & met my extremely high hygenie standards. The valet parking & turning down the bed were lovely touches. This was a nice ending to our anniversary weekend.

We will most certainly being going back & plan to make this a regular stop-over.

A lovely Georgian mansion that has been converted into a modern hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was great - just up the hill from shopping and the Roman baths.

But the item that made the stay was the service, which is easily on par with fine hotels (think Ritz or Four Seasons) - and I'm not exaggerating. Our car was valet parked, and since we were early, we returned to our luggage already in the room. Need something? Staff takes care of it when you're away so as not to be intrusive. Breakfast was also terrific, and the combination of sleek surroundings, great service, good location, and good food makes this a must-stay.

Had a 2 night stay here with my husband in Early May. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We opted for a Junior Suite which was fabulous, really roomy and very nicely decorated. First night of our stay which was a Thursday , room was very quiet. On the Friday night there was quite a bit of noise which did disturb us a little. Great restaurant and nice little bar area but the bar is open 24 hrs so if there is a bit of a party going on it can get noisy if you have a front room. Other than this we loved the hotel and it's quirky decor and sense of humour. Food from the Olive Tree Restaurant was very good both at the restaurant and as room service.
