“Great location”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

We stayed here over Easter for 3 nights in a room that overlooked the garden at the back, (better at the back as there is less road noise, not that there is a great lot to be honest), lovely hotel and excellent staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. Great to walk into town, you don't notice the short 10 min walk as you as passing shops and eateries along the way to nosey at, but always nice to have a walk back to hotel after your evening meal I think.
Breakfasts were lovely with a great choice (however whoever boils the eggs needs a lesson, didn't get one 'dippy' one!) but hardly a fault.
We gave our car keys in on arrival and the car was whisked away and parked for 3 days for a VERY reasonable charge of £15.00, I wouldn't even try to park it myself with all the permits needed.
All in all I would hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Room at the back, we chose a superior delux (I think) v nice room.

We booked a room at the back of the hotel to be quiet. However on being shown the room, the en-suite bathroom was down a flight of stairs which was not ideal.
Carolina offered an alternative upgrade room no.15 but at the front. It was a spacious pleasant room with settee and coffee table and a swivel TV to enable you to watch from any angle. The shower over the bath had a fixed head which meant it was no good if you did not want to get your hair wet.
We decided to risk the chance of street noise. Whilst the hotel is on a side street it can still be noisy with late night revellers and dustmen early in the morning. Maybe double glazing is not allowed in a conservation area like Bath, but secondary glazing would help guests get a better night of sleep.
The staff were anxious to please. To save you feeding the meter they arrange valet parking, for a charge, some on street, some off street for the duration of your stay.
There are plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance if you do not want to eat at the Queensberry.
We had an enjoyable stay. It would have been better to have had a hospitality tray in the bedroom although there was bottled water. They do have a tray in the lounge for you to help yourself but it is just flasks. We trekked down from the 2nd floor to get some coffee but it was not very hot or fresh.
Breakfasts were ok but if you wanted the cold buffet it was set out on a ridiculous high bar, you needed to be fairly tall to serve yourself, and there was no muesli. The home made granola was good, if you could reach it!

Stayed for 2 days over the Easter period and found all services and facilities to be excellent. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Tip, go for room WITH breakfast as this was 1st class and cooked exactly to our liking.

This is my second stay at the Queensberry. Great location, great room, great service, and a phenomenal restaurant. I don't know that we could have asked for anything to be better. The staff was very attentive, helpful, and un-pretentious. This is the place to stay in Bath.

Stayed here a few years ago and loved it.
Return visit didn't disposing. Although the room was smallish the views over the city were lovely and the room had the worlds comfiest bed. Great location for a wander around stunning Bath.

We decided at the last minute to break our journey in Bath due to glorious weather.
We booked a superior room at the Queensberry and so happy we did.
Delightful check in,car valet parked, gorgeous snack in the garden....perfect.
A charming room on the third floor with a great view of the town, well equipped bathroom and the oh so comfortable bed.
All in all the experience was great and the location is perfect.
Staff so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
We missed breakfast due to comfy bed but again snacked in the lovely garden....
My only regret is we stayed just one night but we will be back again in the near future.
It is a home from home and even nice touches like free all day coffee which is great in an expensive city.
Thanks to all the staff as they make the place so much nicer in a competitive city.

Room Tip: stay on the third floor at the back if possible

I've stayed in Bath on several occasions, but I definitely know where I will stay if I visit the city again. I found this hotel via VisitBath and I'm very glad I did. Just a stone's throw from The Circus and Royal Crescent, at the top of the cobbled hill, it gave us the opportunity of exploring this more peaceful part of the city and we found some excellent little specialist shops nearby. The welcome was a very friendly one and the range of teas available in the lounge was superb. Our room was beautiful, spacious, bright and had an amazing view. The room was equipped with a range of local magazines and brochures, along with a bottle of fresh water. We did miss having tea making facilities in our room, but room service was available when the tea in the lounge was not. The staff could not have been more friendly and pleasant. I would definitely recommend and won't stay anywhere else in Bath in the future. Fabulous!
