Stayed for two nights in the first week of October 2009 for our 20th wedding anniversary. Found this place a real gem. Welcomed on arrival outside the hotel by a very helpful member of staff who took all our bags and dealt with parking the car for us. Our room was not quite ready so the very efficient and pleasant reception member of staff provided us with a map of the City and gave us general directions to get to the main shop areas where we could get some lunch.
The room was fantastic. Lovely interiors, a great bed, sofa, excellent CD/DAB/IPOD player. The free view on the TV could have done with a bit of attention as only certain channels worked. Bathroom very spacious and both rooms have great views over the roof tops of this beautiful city. Only thing of note that was missing was the lack of hot drink making facilities, but compensated somewhat by the complimentary drinks in the lounge.
Did not go to the restaurant as we only booked room only but have to say the rest of the hotel looked very nice and the staff were all very helpful, cheerful and attentive. Will definitely come back to this excellent hotel and the only gripe I have is that on checking out we noticed a small notice that credit card payments would incur a 2% handling fee charge. Not sure why this is passed onto the customer when very few shops do this.
A great two days in classy hotel and a fantastic city....well recommended.

In April, I booked a two night stay at the Queensberry Hotel for myself and my husband for early September. We were combining the trip to Bath with a visit to Bath Spa, and after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor we were very much looking forward to our stay. Two days before we were due to arrive, my 81 year old grandmother was involved in a bus crash and was very badly injured. We contacted Bath Spa, who were very understanding and put our reservation 'on hold' until we were in a position to confirm a new date. On contacting the Queensberry Hotel, I couldn't have received a more contrasting reaction. I explained the situation and that we wanted to re-book but weren't in a position to confirm a date until we know whether my grandmother would be OK. I was informed by a very rude receptionist that as we 'no longer wanted to stay with them' we would be charged for our first night's accommodation. I was therefore forced (phoning from the hospital) to choose a different date, and was informed that she would put a note on the file to the effect that if we change the booking again we will be charged for the first night's stay. I fully understand that hotels need to have a cancellation policy, but a little compassion for circumstances beyond a guest's control (particularly when they are not trying to cancel outright but rather are just asking for a little time to reconfirm a date) would be much better for guest relations than the surly and unpleasant attitude we were met with from the reception staff. We will stay at the hotel for our rearranged trip as it is a lot of money to lose, but it will have a lot to do to convince us that a repeat visit is worthwhile.

This hotel has excellent service, and the cleanliness is outstanding. The room was superb, contemporary and spotlessly clean. It looks newly refurbished, with a large seating area and flat screen tv mounted on the wall. We didn't take dinner or breakfast, so cannot comment on the food. A little disappointed to find no beverage facilities in the room, and didn't know if the room service was complimentary, so we had coffee in the lounge before departing, which was fine, and the service prompt and efficient. The valet parking was spot on, and essential in Bath. Quite expensive, but that's Bath!

Queensberry definitely deserves its good Tripadvisor reviews. The room was large, so was the bathroom. A bottle of champagne was waiting for us on arrival. The restaurant, Olive Tree, is nice and staff is friendly, however it is located in the basement so no great views there. In room breakfast is therefore a very good option. THe hotel has several sitting rooms to relax after visiting Bath, as well as a little garden. Location is excellent, within easy walking distance of all of Bath's major attractions. The only negative is that since the hotel is in fact several townhouses linked together, there can be a fair bit of stairs / corridors to reach your room, but it also gives an authentic feeling to the place. We had dinner at the Priory, which was excellent, clearly more formal dining experience than Olive tree, but also superior food (and bill). The Priory looks great, has a large garden, but is not within walking distance of Bath since it is located in what looked like a plush suburb. I would come back to the Queensbury.

Stayed at the Queensbury with my wife for our 3rd anniversary. It is expensive but we thought the room lived up to expectations (and we are not easily pleased). The bathroom was possibly the largest we have ever encountered in a hotel! The only disappointing aspect of the room was the bed, which felt like it should have benefitted from a new mattress quite a few years ago.

The location is good, restaurant excellent and staff amenable.

We would return.

My husband and I found the Queensbury on the web whilst looking for somewhere special to spend our first anniversay, we were impressed with the reviews written by other about this hotel so decided to give it a try; we were definatley not disappointed.

On arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming and very accomodating as a family member had arranged for us to be up graded to a junior suite as an anniversary gift, the hotel staff took great pleasure in sharing this news with us and wished us well for our anniversary. The valet parking service was a huge bonus as I'm not a huge fan of parking. We were given a guided tour of the splendid lounges and then shown to our room.
We chose a classic double room which was amazing, the room was immaculate with good views over the streets of Bath, the bed was very large and extremely comfortable.
The staff moved our bags for us to our new room for the second night, all we can say is wow, the room was amazing, beautifully decorated, clean, well kept. There were many personal touches that made the stay so much more special, ther turn down service in the evening was most welcome after sampling the local bars and restaurants.
The breakfast was good and the courtyard terrace was a peaceful and relaxing area.

we would definately recommend this hotel and are already planning our next anniversary.

Spent two nights here for our first wedding anniversary. Staff courteous and welcoming, room spacious with pleasant views over the terraced rear garden. Nice decor, though room was a trifle warm (outside temperature was only low 20s) necessitating open windows at most times. But very quiet outside so this wasn't an issue. TV with built-in DVD and stereo including an iPod dock were a good touch (even if we didn't use the DVD).
Very good location, a stone's throw from the Circus and Crescent, and a short walk from the city centre.
Breakfast (£10 continental, £15 cooked) was of a high quality.
We'd gladly stay at the Queensberry again.
