Stayed for 2 nights and found all aspects of the hotel excellent.

All the staff were helpful and friendly.

We had a pleasant classic room with a very comfortable bed, large en-suite bathroom with good quality towels, toiletries etc.. A superb continental breakfast and an evening meal were brought to our room at reasonable cost.

The sheltered courtyard garden was pleasant for relaxing in and the lounge area had coffee and teas available for residents during the day.

Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. The staff were delightful, our room was great except for a rude awakening early the first morning when the wagon arrived to remove the bottles to recycle them. We didn't eat in the Restaurant as we ventured into Bath where there are so many good places to dine, but the breakfasts were great and the granola delicious ! Valet parking was very useful.

This Hotel was in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants, The Crescent and the Baths. However we paid the price in sleep quality as our room was on the street side of the Hotel and there were alot of drunk people passing until 3.30am in the morning even though it was midweek.
The room was very spacious and clean, and bottles of water left each day were very welcome on returning to the room late afternoon. The hotel provide a turndown service but suprisingly no chocolates left on the pillow ! maybe this is the expect the unexpected the hotel mention in their literature. It would have been nice when we arrived to provide a free map of the town and highlighted where the hotel was in relation to areas of interest, which is something that has happened to us in Venice, Barcelona and New York. Reception were polite but not particularly friendly - didn't ask us if we had enjoyed our stay on checkout etc.One american sounding employee did wish us a nice evening when we were leaving one evening to go out for a meal - I think there needs to be more of that from the staff.
The valet parking was very good as there seems to be very little parking in Bath so that was a bonus, and the shower was great .Overall Nice, Clean Hotel but if we return to Bath I think we would try somewhere else.

Having found this hotel on TA I guess the room we received was disappointing in respect to the photos posted as an advert of rooms. The room was a good size with a seperate bathroom only it felt kind of empty... with the hotel being in a beautiful old style we expected it different . As we where in the top floor rooms the shower in the bathroom was a little low for my husband he being 6ft but plenty of hot water. The room was extremely hot and we slept with the windows wide open although there was a fan provided. We did not eat in hotel as there are lots of places to eat nearby and we wanted to explore abit further than staying in hotel. Location great and the valet parking one of the best things about this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.
