Decided to stay here mainly due to Trip Advisor and its central location. We were not disappointed. Checked in around 4pm and parking was made easier due to the permit we were given. We were in the Richmond room which was fine for what we wanted. We had already been around Bath but after check in, we went to the Thermae Spa. David, the front of house, couldn't have done enough to help us during our stay. He recommended The Herd for something to eat as we fancied a steak and then Opium, a little tucked away cocktail bar. In the morning, breakfast was sumptuous and as we had some time to kill before Bath races, we were pointed in the direction of Colonna and Smalls coffee shop. I would definitely return to the hotel and would certainly try one of the four poster rooms. Apart from the location, the fact that the staff were so friendly makes this hotel easily recommended to others we know.
