We were able to check in early because our room was ready and had been upgraded because it was a 40th Birthday celebration - a lovely and much appreciated thought!
The hotel is beautifully presented throughout, with staff who are attentive, helpful and happy but never over bearing. Our room was excellent and had everything we could want.
Evening meal was exceptional and again served by happy and attentive staff.
Spa facilities are relaxing and maintained to a very high standard. The outdoor spa bath is particularly lovely, especially at night!
Breakfast isn't rushed and the high quality of the food is maintained from the fresh fruit selection to the full English breakfast, with locally sourced produce adding to the guests experience of the area.
Thank you to all the staff who made our staff so special.

We have enjoyed our stay at this villa-style hotel in Bath. It is a bit outside the center of Bath but it is only 10 minutes walk. The hospitality of staff and service was amazing. Everyone tried to make us feel at home. The hotel has a good SPA with massage and cosmetic procedures which we have used. The restaurant was quite good. The dishes are small but gourmet style from a Scottish chef. The selection of whiskey was surprising.

Room Tip: The park-view rooms are the best

My daughter treated me to a stay in this amazing hotel recently and it was wonderful! We arrived at 11.15 and were prepared to drop off our bags and come back but our room was ready early and we were allowed to book in immediately. We were shown around the hotel before being taken to our rooms. The room was nice (not amazing) and the bathroom was large and beautifully decorated. We hadn't booked dinner and as the restaurant was full, we thought we would have to go into town. However, they asked us to leave the matter with them and they managed to find us a table.
The dinning room is beautiful - very large and luxurious looking. As vegetarians we had an excellent choice of food. The menu looked very interesting! The food was absolutely stunning! One of the best meals I've had! My only niggle was that the service wasn't that great. I think they actually forgot about us actually. In fact, the same thing happened at breakfast and the waiter apologised to us. Breakfast was also excellent - incredible range.
The spa is excellent; I particularly enjoyed the outside hot pool. The swimming pool is not as large as I would have expected and there certainly aren't enough chairs around the side.
We asked if we could check out a little later so that we could use the spa again in the morning and they kindly let us delay it until 1pm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying there again at some time in the future.

Stayed here in October as a treat for my birthday! Upon arrival the hotel is stunning set on a hill. The staff were all very attentive and helpful & our room was ready early which meant we could store out bags and go into Bath. Hotel has plenty of tourist maps as you exit for all the attractions in bath. Room was lovely with a skyline view over bath. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but they ordered our taxi for us to go out. In the morning we used the spa which is great, sauna, steam & Ice room, jacuzzi & indoor and outdoor pool very nice way to start the day! Breakfast was ok but the buffet side wasn't replenished often enough so things kept running out, I had egg on toast which was very nice but not worth the price charged.
Would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed for just one night but were extremely impressed with the service given by the whole staff team. The dinner bed and breakfast package was amazing value. Our evening meal was delicious and served to very high standard, portions were just right so that you didn't feel too full to have all three courses and the desserts were beautifully presented. Staff were smiley and helpful with just the right amount of chat, the background music just right. the wine list was good and reasonably priced for a hotel. Toiletries were Moulton brown to add a touch of luxury to the well equipped bathrooms. Beds and bathrobes comfy and cosy. Slippers were provided too. The mini bar was well stocked (Green and Black chocolate too). Breakfast was not the usual help yourself buffet and make your own toast affair, but freshly cooked to order with delicious tasty ingredients, even the orange juice was extra tasty and fresh. We did not use the spa much on this visit, a couple of noisy kids were enjoying the pool and it was quite busy but pleasant enough, especially the outdoor bit, even in windy rainy weather. Be warned-the bar automatically serves doubles but you do get nice nibbles to compensate for the price! We had great views over the city and shopping in Bath is very good too. Highly recommended,

Room Tip: We always opt for a top floor in an old building so you don't have to listen to creaky floorboar...

This is a brilliant hotel. The staff are very helpful (Jeremy and Ra in particular), set in a beautiful location.

We paid for a top end room and while it was pricey we did get value for money.

I have limited experience on the spa front but this one did seem very nice.

2nd visit [1st was 2012] and still the hotel has excellent standards. Very friendly attentive staff. Wonderful spa. Lovely wine selection and good menu - manages to cater for celiacs with a little bit of advice about sauces. A great place to say if you are travelling solo too.
