Our honeymoon was spent here, firstly greeted by a lovely receptionist, we were then escorted to the spa for our booked in couples massage. It was truly amazing although I thought paying an extra £20 to have a double room with hubby to enjoy our massages was a bit steep..our four poster bed upgrade was a surprise as was the bottle of bubbly!! the experience was lovely, the spa facilities were brilliant, and I enjoyed them at 7.30am every morning whilst hubby slept! The breakfast ( lots of choice to set you up For the day) delicious and the eggs were cooked to perfection! Staff very polite, helpful and take pride in there work.would definitely come back again, and recommend to anyone!!

Room Tip: Get a room at the front.

We stayed having booked through Secret Escapes.our first floor room looked over the beautiful gardens.Very comfortable bed and pillows, lovely Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom.
We didn',t use the Spa, only because of lack of time, but the Spa staff showed us around and made us feel very welcome.
We loved the cosy bar, breakfast and dinner was exactly what one expects of a hotel of this calibre. All the staff were extremely welcoming, special mention to Brian the Resturarant Manager, and Thomas our waiter, they were so knowledgable about the hotel and clearly took pride in their work .Thanks also to the reception staff who answered all my queries and also the gardener who even in the pouring rain stopped what he was doing to tell us about the trees. Can't wait to return !

in a word - Superb! We were fortunate enough to spend one night at this beautiful hotel, located within gentle 10 minute stroll of city centre. Ideal for celebration, anniversary, birthday or simply as a treat. Our room, ground floor ‘garden’ view was of a good size, large well equipped luxury bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries. Dinner in the Vellore restaurant was very pleasant, beautiful room; despite plenty of waiting staff (six) the service a little sporadic. Heavily reliant on the Maitre D – who was charm personified, wonderful soft lilting accent. My guess he takes personal care rather than encouraging the youngsters to do their bit (but then he’s probably a lovely manager to work for!). Wonderfully comfortable bed, we slept the moment our heads touched the 'cloud' like pillows. The Spa is the best I have experienced, highly recommend you spend a couple of hours here. I did not take a treatment, but purely due to time constraints, again luxury brand Elemis. Each member of staff we met, from Concierge, Receptionist, Bar staff to restaurant staff were pleasant, helpful, nothing too much trouble - which made a huge pleasurable impact on our stay. This is absolutely the best UK hotel experience we have had, we will return… can’t wait!

My husband and I have just spent 3 days in this lovely hotel. Brian the Restaurant Manager and his staff were extremely professional and helpful, Mohammed and his staff (front of house) were equally professional. Thank you for a memorable stay.

We stayed here for a two night break. When we arrived we found we had been upgraded to a suite as it was my birthday. The suite was lovely with a four poster bed and a separate lounge. The hotel pool and outdoor hydro pool were both lovely and a treat to be outside in the evening in the 38* water. We ate in the casual bar the first night which was very nice. The second night we ate in town at one of the many restaurants available. It is a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bath but quite a steep climb back for anybody with a mobility problem. We would definitely stay here again as both the service and the hotel were fabulous.

Room Tip: We had a garden suite

Having just returned from a 2 night break wanted to write to say thank you to the staff that made this a truly memorable stay, especially Agnes & Christopher.
Short walk into town and nice to be away from the busy town. Spa facilities were excellent!
We chose the sky view twin room and couldn't fault this especially with the views/sunsets.
