“Beautiful abbey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2012

A lovely abbey full of character and full of some beautiful pieces of gold and silver. The stained glass windows are some of the best i've ever seen. If you're really up for it you can climb the 200+ steps to the roof and enjoy some great views of Bath. The square outside the abbey is nice as well .You can sit there and watch the world go by and there are often street musicians performing. There is a gift shop and other shops surrounding the Abbey.

“Our Visit to Bath Abbey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2012

The Abbery is a lovely building as with most abbeys and churches is steeped in history, and I particularly liked the angels climbing up Jacob's ladder at the front of the building.

“Definitely visit and take the kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2012

We had a family day out to Bath with kids from age 15 to 9 and visited the Abbey. Slightly worried that the kids might be bored I did not expect a long visit but the staff made a fantastic effort to entertain them and hold their interest. There was a simple quiz handed out on the front door with about 20 questions for the kids to fins answers as they moved around the Abbey and this kept them captivated while we were able to take in the beautiful architecure and setting of the Abbey itself. Make sure you enter!

“Worth popping in to see the windows”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2012 via mobile

Being a fan of visiting churches I couldn't help but pop in to see what was on the inside! I I'm glad I did its beautiful !! The stained glass windows and colourful ceilings tower up over you.
I spent a glorious hour or so wandering around admiring the Abby and would recommend anyone passing by takes a look ;)

“Beautiful and so peaceful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2012

I have seen the Abbey at different times in the year, at Christmas and in the snow, weddings and concerts. It is a very spiritual place. At christmas they have shoppers carol service - a short 20 minute service with carols and a time for reflection in the madness that is Christmas shopping. At any time of the year this is a beautiful place of worship and worth a visit to see the interior.
