“A fascinating link with royal history”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

This is marvellously spectacular as the placing of monuments on the sides of the Abbey Walls is extremely well done. The plaque commemorating the Queen's visit in 1973 and 1,000 years of monarchy back to the Coronation of King Edgar here in 973 is fascinating. The contemporary altar works rather well, what a risk in such a grand setting!

“Impressive”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

Impressive stained glass, good for a wander round, lots of 'gravestones' in the aisles to look at, with history behind them.

“Beautiful Abbey but nothing jaw-dropping”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

The Abbey is free to visit minus a reasonable 2.5 pound donation. You're in Bath so it would be silly not to visit, especially as its ceilings are absolutely stunning.

“Take the tower tour!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

We really enjoyed the Bath Abbey and especially enjoyed the tower tour. There is so much to see and learn up there. George was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. No visit to the abbey is complete without that tour.
