Being a fan of glitter I had to see those chandeliers and they are gorgeous! Beautiful rooms but we were out in 10 minutes. So many other things to see!

My wife wanted a visit here being a big fan of Jane Austen, seeing the meeting place for all those 1800s men and women she reads about.
The costume museum was also very good, my wife studying every item of clothing being in historical fashion heaven.

Really worth a look. Very large rooms that were a focal point of social life in Georgian Bath. Beautifully restored and the chandeliers are stunning. More signage indicating the use of the spaces might be appreciated, but that is likely where the audio guide (of which we did not partake) would come in handy.

Cannot recommend this highly enough. Take the audio tour and jump back to 'Northhanger Abbey' and 'Persuasion'. The fashion museum is also worth a visit. We had a fantastic guide- sorry can't remember her name- and her knowledge and enthusiasm were fantastic. (Visit Sat 28th 4pm tour). Also this is a very reasonable place to eat eat. Quality good to if you don't mind self-service.

this is really a chance to see historical meeting rooms built in the middle 1700's. these rooms were in a building that was a central meeting place in the 17 & 1800's for the elite, well connected and society of the period for both public gathering and private occasions. the rooms are still in active use today and are really quite attractive with their high ceiling and original chandeliers that have been long since converted from candles to electric. a chance to see the kind of settings and surroundings in which the shakers and movers of this period met and interacted.
