We took our niece over the weekend and what a lovely time we had here, stroll through the park, then on to the children's play area, one of the best I have seen and highly recommended. Had a picnic on the grass and just enjoyed every moment. Will definitely come back again during the summer.
Easy to get to, we walked from the train station, very easy to find and a nice way to take in Bath, the beautiful houses and streets.
Loved it :o)

We go to the Royal Victoria park often. There are so many aspects to it. If you just want a calm stroll among plants and trees you can go into the Botanic gardens. If you want more of a challenge you can go into the dell across the road. The main park has acres of flat grass where you can sit and watch the world go by or have a picnic. Often you can watch the hot air balloons taking off. The grassed area in front of the Royal Crescent is often full of students, many of whom leave piles of litter behind.
There is a pond with ducks and a large play area which is very popular with families. This park is great in summer but good all year round.

The kids could play, whilst the adults chatted, it was a lovely day and ice cream for all.

A lovely open space in the city.

If you want a little peace from the hustle and bustle of the city is well worth a nice stroll. There is a small botanic garden in it with some interesting trees and plants.
Lots of space to spread out. Pleasant
