“Lovely theatre with good acoustics”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Went to see a matinee performance of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf - a 3 hour production. Fortunately there were 2 interludes after every hour which also helped to split the performance up. We were fortunate enough to get discounted tickets for the Royal Circle which is directly in front of the stage. The bar area was clean and tidy and the prices were not too over the top. The audience seemed to be mostly local people who frequent the theatre a lot and who are aged 50 and above.
The staff were all very pleasant and knew their jobs. You can book online and get to view what the stage will look like from different areas. I recommend the Royal Circle. You can also eat at the Vaults Restaurant but I don't know what that is like. Programmes were £4 and there are also leaflets which give plenty of detail about what's on in the future.
Bath has plenty of parking and the city is small enough for you to be able to walk everywhere in a short time. We will definitely be returning in the future to see another play and to explore Bath further.

“Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?”

3 hours of Theatre that passed in a blink of an eye-magnificent performance in a fabulous setting. Look out for the cheaper seats available fro 2 pm if attending a matinee.

“Royal Theater Bath England”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law went to see Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and they indicated it was a good production -- though they had to go on the internet to understand the complete story. Suppose there wasn't much detail in any program they might have been handed. As I read the plot from the computer I asked them if what I was reading fit the play as they saw it and they said it did. Now they understand what exactly was happening as they never saw the Richard Burton - Elizabeth Taylor version as a movie.

“The play that went wrong”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

I loved it, a small theatre which reminded me of Windsor theatre Royal,( which I used to visit regularly when I lived there). It was busy and lively, helped by a hilarious play. Seemed to be full of local people with a sprinkling of visitors. would go again.

“Top quality productions in beautiful theatre.”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

I attended a performance here. The play was superb and as good as anything I've seen at the West End or Broadway. The ticket price was significantly cheaper than the average in London or New York despite a stellar cast.
The theatre itself is small but perfectly formed.
