These walks are completely FREE - no tips or gratuities are accepted. They are led by people passionate about Bath, who are full of knowledge. We had Joy take us around Bath, and she was fabulous! The tours are not strenuous, and are pram friendly. They take around two hours. I highly recommend this tour!

These Mayor's Walks are free and, as the guide tells you, tipping is not permitted. A very cheap three hour walk then!
The guide that we had was a charming and knowledgeable gentlemen with a real love for his city. Together we walked around all of the major sights of the city of Bath and he had information and amusing anecdotes about them all.
It is actually the second time that I have used this service and I would highly recommend it to any visitor to the city. Obviously you have to be able to walk gently for nearly three hours but, other than that, it is not demanding.

These (free, no-tips accepted) 2-hour information packed walks are a great introduction to the culture, architecture, and city of Bath from some of its biggest cheerleaders. There were well over 100 of us gathered at the meeting time, and the well-prepared leaders efficiently divided us into small manageable groups of about 20/25, and we were on our way by 10:02! Our guide, Colin, provided engaging and entertaining insight into this charming city. Colin, along with several other locals staffing various attractions, all shared a sincere interest in sharing the history and most recently discovered research about their city - such a pleasure to spend time with residents who aren't jaded and genuinely share their appreciation for the history and current state of their hometown. We covered a lot of ground and felt well-prepared for our subsequent excursions, and felt that we had significant added insight.

My husband and I happened to see a sign for a free walking tour of Bath, the afternoon we arrived. So we hopped on the following day, and it was fantastic.
Our guide, Austen was very professional, and had great information to share with us, I am sure we could have walked and heard more than the allotted 2hours, Austen was so passionate about Bath and its history, an excellent tour.
Highly recommend you do this if coming to Bath.

What a great way to find your way round Bath while learning so much from the knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide (Simon). We went to places I wouldn't have found on my own and he made it so interesting. Would heartily recommend it and the fact that it is free is a bonus.
