Wonderful local guides provide a view of the city through the eyes of residents who know and love it. It was the best two hours of our trip - and it's free. The Mayor's tours are given daily and provide a great starting point for touring Bath. It's a beautiful city, and the guides are knowledgeable and fun.

What a fantastic initiative. A free service provided by the city of Bath aided by educated and passionate guides who live in or around the town. Informative, interesting and fun. Tours last approx. 2 hours. Any easy walk - Enjoy!

A comprehensive and informative walk around Bath conducted by a passionate and dedicated volunteer. We could not have been happier with our experience and it's a credit to the City of Bath that they run these tours that don't cost a penny.

We had a lady guide, she was lovely, always willing to answer our questions and she had us demonstrate 'fan' language. Absolutely recommended, it was my best 3 hours in Bath!

We gathered outside the Pump Room and Roman Baths on Saturday morning. There were about 120 people waiting for the tours. Bang on 10.30am the chief guide introduced himself and explained what was going to happen. He then split us into 5 groups headed by 1 of the 5 guides (usually 6). Then off we went. Our guide was an ex-headmaster, and boy did he know his stuff. 2 hours later and full of interesting facts about Bath, its architecture, its history, and its people, we returned to where we had started. Highly recommended for anyone going to Bath. I think they run them Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but check the web site.
