Owner description: Designed by John Wood II (1767-75), the Royal Crescent is comprised of thirty houses, shaped like a half-Colosseum, which uses a gigantic series of Ionic columns on high bases.

Not to be missed if you visit Bath, and looking across to the crescent from the gardens in front is magnificent. The elegance of the buildings and their stately grandeur are a joy to behold. Take a walk to the east if you have time, only a few hundred yards, to the Circus, which for me, is even more pleasing on the eye.

Great period architecture. Nice park in the front with beautiful garden. Easy and nice walk from town center. Worth a view.

Brilliant place and wonderful architectural marvel. Worth the visit. Big stretch of green grass makes it all the more beautiful. Do visit the museum which is just at the entry to crescent.

I enjoyed good time with my friend on the lawn, relaxing, taking pictures, and experiencing the atmosphere around. The effect of photo shooting is great especially when the sun lights the building up. However, the actual building itself is not so glamorous when looking closely. Overall, a good place to visit :)

What a great feat of architecture - the buildings are very impressive and you can just imagine the visitors of the Georgian times sending their time her - having fun. Well worth seeing
