We stayed here at the weekend for a wedding. The B&B was very clean. We had a large family room on the top floor which was really nice but it is up a few floors so as long as you don't have any injuries it won't be a problem. The breakfast was really nice. For the price I would stay here again. Bath town centre is a 2 minute walk. The B&B is very quiet. The staff are all very friendly.

Room Tip: Family room with one double and two single beds. Plenty of room.

We had the family room on the top floor of the guest house. The room easily accommodated a large bed and two single beds; the bathroom was also spacious. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. We had to leave early the next morning, but the staff worked with us to get us an early breakfast before we left. The location was excellent. It was a brief, but delightful stay!

We stayed in Room 3 which is a very large room on the 2nd floor. The room is huge with both a sofa bed and 2 chairs with a table between. Since we stayed for several nights all the space was really appreciated. The bathroom is also large and bright. The location, between and Crescent and Circle, is mostly residential which is very nice for walking in the morning and evening. It's walking distance to the sites, shopping, and restaurants. There is a good variety for breakfast, a couple days we ate lightly and had bigger breakfasts the other days. Everything we had was good. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was a problem on arrival. I'd let the owner know we'd be arriving after the 6 pm check-in. We arrived by 6:30 but had trouble using the lockbox where the keys were kept. Fortunately we found someone to help us, but it was not a good start to our stay. There needs to be better accomondation for "late" check-ins, especially when coming 4,000 miles and very tired.

Room Tip: Room 3 was very large and quiet although it faces the street.

Like a boutique hotel. Felt like a special different experience. Lovely décor and comfort. Great staff. Breakfast as good as major international hotels. Central and in the heart of regency Bath. Must go again.

My partner and I stayed for 6 nights last week. The location is excellent as very close to all places of interest in Bath, yet is very quiet location. Our room was at the back of the house, very pleasantly decorated and very clean. Could not fault the service. Rachel was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good with several choices, I recommend the omelette. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return if we are ever in Bath again.

Room Tip: Room 1 very quiet and comfortable

What a delightful time we had with "Ian" the innkeeper. The location is perfect, with a lovely little restaurant right next door, which was perfect for two weary travelers who had been on plane and train for last 15 hours. The room we had was lovely, restful to the eyes, decor attractive, and comfortable. The breakfast? the best we had ever had in our travels, starting with wonderfully tasteful coffee. We loved Bath and would definitely return to Brock House next time.

Room Tip: Rooms on the street side are a bit noisy, but the room was simply lovely; we had no problem sleeping...

We stayed at Brock's in September, 2013.

The location is very good, only a short walk from the town center and the Roman Baths. Older folks might consider something east or west of the town center. Brock's is north of it and a bit of an uphill walk. It was fine for us.

The guest house itself is nice, nothing fancy, but the charge is reasonable and it is a good value. Like many guest houses in Bath, it is vertical. Our room was on the fourth floor, and there is no elevator. Not a big problem for the bulk of the stay, but it was a bit challenging when we checked in taking the bags up that many floors. If that is a problem for you, just ask for a room on a lower floor.

The breakfast was good, but we found the English Breakfast to be a bit on the small side. On the second and third nights, we ordered omelets and they were fine.

The owners were nice. Not as friendly or forthcoming with information as many that we found on our trip, but I wouldn't classify them as unfriendly by any means.

Overall, it was a good stay, and I would recommend this guest house.

Thank you for your review and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. I would like to point out that Brocks Guest House has only 3 floors and as it is a World Heritage Listed building, we are prohibited by law to install an elevator. However, we are always more than happy to help guests carry their luggage to their room.

We are sorry to hear that you felt the English Breakfast was a little on the small side. Had we have known, we certainly would of rectified this and cooked you extra as we want all of our guests to start their day feeling well fed. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the omelettes.

Lastly, we are disappointed that you felt we were not as friendly and forth-coming with information as you would of liked. We expect people to treat Brocks as their home. We encourage all of our guests to ask questions and we so enjoy discussing the history of Bath and Brocks. We know how bewildering it can be visiting a new place and not knowing what to do or where to eat and that is why upon arrival, we always make suggestions and offer to make reservations for our guests.

We do hope to see you again in the near future.
