“Very well situated.”
Reviewed 1 April 2013

We had a very warm welcome when we arrived early evening. Our bedroom was comfortable and warm and the bathroom was very nice and clean. There was a good choice of breakfast, with the usual fruit, cereal and traditional hot breakfasts. A new member of staff was a little enthusiastic and began to jar a little as she kept asking us if we wanted anything and were we alright every 10 minutes or so. But I suppose that is better than being ignored! Overall, we would stay again as it was only a 10 minute walk into the shopping center.

Room Tip: This isn't actually a hotel as such but a very nice B&B.

This was our second visit to the Paradise House and the welcome was just as good! Welcome card with a box of chocolates, cup of tea and biscuits all served with a smile.

We took advantage of their Thermae Spa package and found that a great way to do this fun experience.

The breakfast was faultless and cooked to order which is what is missing in so many places these days!

This is one of those - do I really want to share my experience and more people book moments. Where to begin, fabulous welcome and accomodated when early. Beautiful room. Great attention to detail not only with the hotel, but the food and the great help with where to go for first time visitors to bath. Comfortable ensuite room with attention to making your stay welcoming. I have to agree with other travellers, absolutely first class in every way, nothing was too much trouble and friendly staff were fantastic. Will most definitely be coming back - Thank you.

Stayed here with my partner for 3 nights in March 13 and loved my stay. For B&B, I found the quality of service to be very high. The hotel is simple yet charming and staff are very attentive whilst not being 'in your face'.

Location: No more than a 5-7 min walk into town. Located on a quiet street so no outside noise. Location makes getting around very easy.

Rooms: We stayed in room 12 which is a four poster bed room and is situated slightly off the main building and overlooking the garden. Highly recommend. Appears on their website under "Superior Deluxe Four Poster". I may be biased, but has to be one of the best rooms on offer. Firstly, as it's slightly off the main building, it feels very private. Secondly, it's located in the garden and looks out onto the garden. Lastly, the room itself is well furnished (jacuzzi bath with inbuilt tv, shower, four poster bed, free wifi, complimentary water, tea/ coffee laid out each day).

Also, rooms are fully stocked with molton brown products (body lotion, bath and shower products) for guest use and free of charge. A nice touch!

Staff: Friendly. Thumbs up from me.

Breakfast: A good choice and plentiful. Breakfast is made to order to is hot, fresh and tasty. Staff are happy to throw in extra's as requested.

Really enjoyed my stay here. It exceeded my expectations and I would happily recommend.

A WORD OF ADVICE: If you plan to dine at any of the top 10 restaurants listed on Tripadvisor make sure you book way in advance (I'm talking days not hours). The top places seem to be forever fully booked!

Room Tip: Ask for room 12. Appears on hotel website under "Superior Deluxe Four Poster". Good qualit...

An amazing find. From the moment we phoned to book a night here to when we left the service was nothing short of 100% perfect. The owners kindly suggested a nice room for us and also gave us complimentary spa passes for the McDonald hotel which was a lovely treat. I would suggest paying and getting a day pass regardless of whether it was included or not. The rooms are well looked after with very comfortable beds, we had a room with a big Jacuzzi bath in it with a tv in there too! Molten brown products and big soft towels and dressing gowns. A very short walk into town, less than 10 minutes so no need to get a taxi anywhere. We had already reserved a table for dinner at sotto sotto and the owner gave us directions and said we had made a good choice. Breakfast was great and varied, the rooms were quiet at night and leaving our car outside the b and b once we had checked out was not a problem for the owners even though they were very busy. We will undoubtedly stay here again soon when we need a night away from home, perhaps in the summer for a few nights so that we can enjoy the garden as it looks lovely but was too cold when we visited! 5/5 without a second thought, I just don't understand why this place is not number 1 though, which is where it should be! A fantastic example of why visitors should choose B&B's over soulless British hotels!

Bath is a beautiful city and Paradise House provides a great vantage point. We came for a long weekend and the accommodation was exceptional. The staff were faultless in their attention to detail, availability and local knowledge. Breakfast was lovely and set us up well for day ahead.
Our room afforded a fantastic view towards Bath and it would be easy to spend hours just watching the world go by. The town centre is a comfortable 10 minute walk, a little steep on the way back but very convenient.

Room Tip: A room with a view towards Bath is special

I stayed at this hotel back in February with my boyfriend, the hotel was fab. We booked the hotel on Late Rooms for a great price. We were greeted by a very polite, pleasant staff member who gave us plenty of information on the history of Bath and interesting places to go. We stayed in a four poster bedroom which was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, the products in the bathroom were great and the shower was lovely. The back garden was beautiful, fantastic to photograph, only a five to ten minute walk to the town, the walk back was a little more difficult as it was uphill and in the cold weather we would recommend a taxi which cost about £5. We will definitely be making many more visits to this hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Four poster rooms are gorgeous
