Chanced upon this hotel on late rooms when looking for a very last minute hotel and very pleased with the choice.

Had a superior room overlooking the recreation ground, the bathroom was lovely and room was a good size, lovely and quiet too. The bed wasn't very comfy but not awful.

The continental breakfast is included in the room price which is great value, and the cooked options at £6 were delicious and very reasonably priced.

Service was great, very friendly and personal. I would certainly recommend the Windsor and would return to stay again.

This is a hotel of two halves. The pictures of the rooms on the website do not portray what they look like in reality. There is no lounge or bar. In our party, some of the rooms were lovely, the others were not. In the poor rooms the baths can be described as, "a big sink with a tap over it!" demand a garden room.

For once I got it right. I found this gem of a guest house and booked it for one night. You can't top it's location and beautiful building. . It's minutes from the city centre. And they have a parking permit to use at a cost of £8 per day. Well worth it. A quaint guest house with very attentive staff. You could even control the heating in the rooms. Radiators and Air Con. So as warm or cool as you liked. Breakfast was lovely freshly cooked full breakfast. I know as you can see into the kitchen. It really is like being a guest in someone's home.

As I was running in the Bath Half Marathon I booked to stay in the Windsor on Saturday evening before the race. The hotel is very close to the start/finish line which worked perfectly. I must say that the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is incredible. They could not have been nicer or more obliging, arranging a shower and something to eat when I came back after the race, at no additional charge. My single room was perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean. It's just a short walk across the bridge into the centre of town. I'd highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Thank you so much for your review. We all love the weekend of the marathon with all you super -fit runners putting us to shame!. I am so pleased you were happy with our fabulous location on the start line and we were only too happy to provide a room for you to shower in on your return and to offer you a little sustenance after the race. I hope your time was good and hope to see you next year if you are running again.
