We really enjoyed our stay at the chic and elegant Dorian House. Our attic room was small but perfectly formed and had beautiful views over to the centre of the city. Nice touches included robes and White Company toiletries. Delicious breakfast, welcoming staff. Excellent value for money.

Our sleep was disturbed by Bath's seagulls squawking and cackling at dawn, although this would affect absolutely every hotel in the city... Maybe Dorian House could provide some earplugs?!

We stayed here for one night on our way to our holiday. We found it via Alistair Sawday's website.

We enjoyed our stay but I feel that the description of hotel is not true as the service is more like a B&B and situation not as central as we might have hoped, consequently we thought that it was over-priced for what it was.

The welcome was lovely and the staff were really helpful, there were some nice perks, like a mac for guests use. It was also brilliant that we were able to only stay for one night -something that is very unusual in Bath at the weekend. The breakfast was ok - full English better than smoked salmon. The room was nice with a good bed and lovely view.

We stayed for a weekend as a friend was getting married in Bath. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming, we checked in and then were left to enjoy ourselves for the weekend. We really felt like we had our own homely space within the hotel and could come and go as we pleased.. Each room has a key to the front door so you do not need to worry about waking people up if you get back late. Breakfast was delicious, the hotel feels modern yet comfortable and just the right side of luxurious. The hotel is up the hill from town but only a 10 min walk and Bath is so busy we were glad to be that little bit out of it.

We chose Dorian House based on TripAdvisor reviews. Ditto to everything we had read. They have the magic formula for hospitality. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was great. The staff takes great pride in running a top notch, small hotel.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! The house has a really warm welcoming feel and is decorated to a very high standard. The bedroom we had has been decorated with care with attendtion to detail. No expense was spared in the bathroom (lovely soft fluffy towels too!). The breakfast was generous and yummy! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful so it is no wonder they have succeeded in the hospitality industry. We really feel we had incredible value for money at this hotel too and will stay here again when we come back to Bath. This place is the perfect place to relax for a weekend break!

Room tip: Our standard double was in the eves on the third floor, while small it was very cosy and great value. Ideal if you're out and about!
