we spent a great two nights in this highly individual boutique b and b. All the rooms have fantastic individuality, ours was on the lower ground floor Ellington complete with door into the front garden, our friends upstairs in Ravel, a bit smaller! - spot the musical connections.! Look the rooms up on the website to make your choice. Our bathroom had a shower that would give the rain forest a beating! I loved the individual touches - a proper porcelain tea pot, chocolates , bathrobes etc. Our enormous bed was very comfortable and the bedlinen superb and lots of space in the room. The furniture was a bizarre mixture from chinese to 60's. I would say that the chairs did not offer comfort seating, i settled for lounging on the bed. Using the safe involved contortion because it was in such an inaccessible place but at least there was one. Breakfast was a treat - it took rather too long to reach us on the second morning - [when i was going to work] but the choices were excellent.. I found all the staff helpful and friendly - lots of information on how to make the best use of your stay there. Downside - entrance to front door marred by dozens of dog ends, and also floating sadly in the ashtray up in the garden - just spoilt the otherwise excellent ambiance. I fell in love with the giant cat statue in the hall way but it was too big to pop in the car!
Tip for going into the city - if there are more than three of you it is cheaper to share a taxi - leave the car behind as city parking is impossible. We did the total tourist bit - roman baths, bus tour, walking tour, evensong in the cathedral, sally lunn's for tea and best of all at sunset an open air roof "swim" in the new spa baths, magic!. GO GO GO

Not a bad location, great breakfast and value for money and one of the best in Bath. We have a son at Bath Uni and have stayed in a lot of different places over the past 3 years and this is the best.

I booked Dorian House for myself, husband and parents for a weekend away. We all had a wonderful stay. We stayed in The Ellington Room which was spacious, well equipped and beautifully dected out. My parents stayed in The Grieg in the attic which they found lovely. The welcome was warm and helpful. Would definitely return for another visit should we return to Bath. Not a good choice though if you are not very mobile as located outside the town up the hill. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

What a beautiful hotel. The warm welcome, the amazing four poster bed in the fantastic room with ye olde furniture, the humorous young gentleman who shared our sense of humour, the 10 minute walk into the centre....we cannot praise any more. If you want a luxury, with great breakfast and access to Bath's finest this is the place for you.
