My husband and I spent two nights at the Kennard Hotel in August. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic! The hotel is a five minute walk from the town centre and about 10 mins from the Thermae Bath Spa so is ideally situated. Our room was nice and very clean. The only downside was that there was no basin in the bathroom as this was instead situated next to the kettle in the bedroom. I understand that this is due to the age and design of the building however this was a little disappointing.
Overall a lovely place and I would certainly go again but would ask for a different room.

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights over the bank holiday weekend. We were in no. 12 - the blue room. This was a lovely spacious room. The breakfast was lovely and a very good choice- there was something for everyone. It was lovely to have a choice of coffee blends in the morning and freshly squeezed orange juice. Location is excellent as its only a 5 minute walk to the city centre yet on a beautiful quiet street. Thank you for a lovely stay!

This place is really special. From the polite and friendly welcome the owners could not have done more to make the stay comfortable. Tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and a fantastic breakfast. I cannot rate highly enough.

The hotel is a georgian house, very well located in town, close to Pulteney Bridge: by walking, less than 5 minutes to the thermae spa, the Roman Baths, the gardens and less than 15 minutes to the Royal Crescent.
My room was big enough, very comfortable, quiet, with a fabulous view on the town; nothing was lacking in the bathroom. I've particularly appreciated the style of the whole hotel , the decorations and of course the garden. The breakfeast is lovely, and the coffee, delicious!
At the Kennard, you don't feel like a customer but like a guest.
I would warmly recommand that hotel.

Breakfast of champions, an actual choice of coffee centrally located, great room. Seagulls were a bit noisy but that's just bath! Great choice, would revisit in a heartbeat.

Stayed here for one night in August on our way down to Cornwall as a break. I completely agree with all the other reviews below. We got a free upgrade and both the owners couldn't do enough to help. Room was lovely (room 2 - The Floral Room). Location was excellent right near the town centre but In a lovely quiet location. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Breakfast also very nice, and free parking on the road outside!

This hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious - had the full English first morning and an omlette the second day. There was also a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, figs, prunes, grapefruit, fruit juices, teas and coffees as well as a more detailed breakfast menu. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. They helped with luggage, they were happy to offer more toast, teas and cofees at breakfast and very kindly emailed me about a toothbrush charger I had left in my room. They asked for my address so that they could post it to me. They also were happy to explain the area showing on a map where the points of interest could be found. Extra little touches such as a fan in the room was very welcome. Coffees, teas, biscuits, bottled water and toiletries were complimentary in my room. A free parking pass was particularly helpful and meant the car coould be parked outside the hotel. This hotel is in a nice quiet street in a prime location right near to all the bars, restaurants and shops. The only thing I missed was not having a fridge in the room and the hairdryer was not very powerful so I would bring my own next time. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
