“Location but tricky parking”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

Stayed one night here last week. Good city centre location but the hotel has no specific car park, so you have to park in the expensive adjacent Podium car park. Remember to take the car park plastic token to reception who will endorse it to reduce the payable charge.
Good buffet breakfast.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front can be noisy from revellers, (I suffered from this when I stayed here before Chri...

Thank you for your review, I am glad that you enjoyed our city centre location and found the car parking conveniently situated underneath the hotel. Similarly, that you enjoyed our famous Hilton breakfast buffet. We hope to welcome you back next time you are in the South West of England.

Despite being part of a chain, this hotel felt individual and warm. Not something you often find with a big group owned hotel! The service was perfect from the moment I picked up the phone to confirm that pets were allowed till the moment I checked out. I believe the gentleman who looked after us was, I believe, called George and was bright, cheerful, welcoming and efficient. A rare quality! The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but don't let this put you off! The minute you walk in, your opinion will change.

A short stay for two nights at a traditionally unfashionable time of year (early January). Even so the offer price was considered to provide excellent value for money, with the opportunity to upgarde on arrival to a larger and better equppied room, again at a very good price. We had an especially quiet room at the back of the Hotel, from where there are views to the River Avon. We have stayed at this Hotel before on a number of occasions and believe that its location right on the doorstep of Bath City Centre would be hard to better.

We loved it. Nice hotel with a great breakfast
Room looked over a swollen river , that was very interesting to watch.

This is a very central, convenient hotel. The service and accommodation is good and the breakfasts are better than most. Parking is close by and at reduced price for hotel guests. We have used this hotel twice and would be more than hey to return.

As previous reviewers have stated ,this hotel is in an excellent location close to the Abbey,Roman Baths and shopping centre plus there is an array of restaurants offering various cuisine.Check in was efficient and our compact double room, although on the small side ,had plenty of wardrobe/drawer space.Fluffy soft towels and complimentary toiletries enhanced our stay.Reception staff very helpful providing local information and town map which made it easy to get around. We arrived by train, the station is about a ten minute stroll away,so did not utilize the car parking facilities here. There is a lovely old pub across the road from the hotel, the Saracens Head which boasts it is the oldest pub in Bath.It has plenty of atmosphere and good choice of drinks. The Hilton Bath city is let down by having a modern look to it and its a pity it was not built using the handsome Bath stone to be found on the majority of buildings in this quaint city.

Room Tip: Request one with a river view

Thank you for your 5* review. I am delighted to read how very much you enjoyed your stay and your compliments of the hotels facilities, efficient staff and room amenities are very much appreciated, thank you. We are certainly very fortunate with our central location in Bath and I understand your feedback regarding the exterior brickwork of the hotel, which was built in the early 70's. Regrettably, atheistically this does not have the same architectural appeal as do most of the other buildings in Bath. We hope to welcome you back soon.

This hotel is booked by a friend as is my first time to Bath. I would recommend this hotel as its very near the Bath City Centre. The hotel is conveniently located. The shopping belt and bus/train stations are all within walking distance.
