I stayed for one night on17th October with 3 women friends and we all had a really enjoyable time. 100% for the hotel in general and in particular the location which was in walking distance of theatre, Roman baths, Bath Abbey and shops and great choice of restaurants. Would like to return and think it would be a god Christmas location.

Had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. Ideal location for a city centre visit, just a short walk from the train station, main shops and many tourist attractions. Room was clean and comfortable and came with everything we needed. I cannot fault the staff who were all really friendly and could not have been more helpful. Even after checking out, they offered to look after our bags while we explored the city before going home. From the cleaners to the restaurant, it was clear that customer service is a priority here. It was perhaps a little on the pricey side, however you can make your money up if breakfast is included in your room price - you get a choice of something from the hot menu (including full English) as well as the continental buffet - you can eat as much as you can! The food was all really nice and set us up for the day. The only negative thing I can think of is the lack of parking - However this is not uncommon for a city centre location and there are overnight car parks close by.
Overall, we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay and I would recommend this hotel.

The Best Western Abbey in Bath has a lot going for it. It has a superb location, room rates to please the budget traveler, a personable and helpful front desk staff, and an efficient and thorough cleaning crew. I was impressed that my early check in time was accommodated. Out of all of the meals I enjoyed during my two-week trip to the U.K., my dining experience at the hotel’s Allium Brasserie was by far the best.

Although my stay was during the tail end of September when the weather was cool and slightly rainy, my room was stuffy and almost unbearably too hot to sleep. The windows of my room faced windows of nearby buildings, so keeping windows open was awkward and not very effective at fighting the heat and stuffiness. Both my husband (who has very little trouble sleeping) and I (a light sleeper when traveling) only managed to get a couple of hours of sleep each night. Consequently, we were too tired to enjoy our first trip to Bath as much as we could have.

The Best Western Abbey has a lot of qualities; unfortunately, the climate control in some of the rooms is not one of those qualities and can impact sleep. For this reason, I would give The Best Western Abbey a rating of 3 out of 5.

Thank you for your valuable feedback in relation to your recent stay with us. I was delighted to hear that you found us both centrally located and excellent value for money.
Regarding the climate control in the bedrooms, we are currently working to upgrade a further 15 bedrooms with air conditioning to increase the total number of rooms in the hotel with this facility. We understand that air conditioning is now near the top of traveller's wish lists, and as such are working tirelessly to improve this offering. We do also appreciate that July, August and September have been unusually warm in this part of the country.
I do hope that if you are in Bath again in the future you will consider the Abbey Hotel as we would certainly enjoy welcoming you back.

With kind regards

Its fabulous location was this hotel's only redeeming feature. The rooms were tiny (we tried out two of them) and although recently decorated they were still rather drab. There was no aircon and the fan they supplied was ineffective. The shower was dangerously hot but as the hotel was full they could not move us until the second night and their attitude suggested that we should have just put up with it. The bar area is lovely but even with just four customers they managed to mix up our orders. I don't think we will be going back.
