Absolutely fantastic! The reception staff were wonderful - I forgot to complete your actual feedback form so please use these comments! This hotel is in a perfect location - a minute's walk from the Roman baths and it is dead in the centre, alongside the river, surrounded by independent cafes. In the evening of our one night stay, on our way out to dinner we kindly asked for an extra hour on checkout otherwise our Thermal bath plans would have seriously deteriorated. The receptionist did not bat an eye and said it would be no problem whatsoever and wished us all the best for the spa. Perfect. The sleep was very comfortable and the breakfast and breakfast staff were also perfect! Highly recommend - please go here!

I stayed on the third floor for one night on business. The Location was brilliant - especially if you come on the train rather than by car, as it's five minutes' walk from the station (other reviewers have mentioned the difficulty of parking. The Bath is a small town...)

The hotel lift was being refurbished but the very pleasant staff on reception apologised at least twice and offered to carry my bags up and down the stairs. All the staff were quite young, but friendly and helpful. I didn't eat in the restaurant but I was impressed by the bar (there was a pianist and I was handed a menu of gins when I asked for a g&t). The breakfast was delicious, and probably one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had in some time.

The other memorable detail was bed.. a very nice mattress combined with good-quality linen made for an extremely good night's sleep.

Would definitely stay here again, and not just on business trips.

Dear Ellie

It is great to hear your kind words, especially regarding the team's willingness to help with the lift situation, we do apologise for this again but essential work has to be done.

Delighted to hear that the G&T menu struck a chord our ArtBar manager has a vast knowledge of all spirits but we think Gin may be his favourite.

I very much hope we can welcome you back to the hotel for business or pleasure soon, thank you again for your review.

Kind Regards

The Abbey hotel was perfect - great location, reasonably priced and very clean. Upon arrival our room was upgraded so our room was slightly bigger than the cosy double we'd paid for.Everything was spotless and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with wide variety. This was our first time in Bath but I would definitely use this hotel again as everything was in walking distance (train station included) and it was at a great standard.

Stayed for a might for a business trip. The hotel staff and food was well over my expectation. Great room with plenty of room and very clean. Breakfast was excellent and the service was first class. I decided to dine at the restaurant for evening meal and cannot fault it. A residents menu which provided great value for those staying at the hotel showing they valued their residents. Best place for a G&T too!

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights. We originally booked a standard room and requested a cot but the cot request was not received and we didn't know that the room was too small for a cot. Fortunately it was not a busy night and they kindly upgraded us to a lovely big room at no extra cost. It was a spacious room with a king size bed and was modern and clean. Big bathroom with shower and bath too. Free wifi was useful but dropped out on the occasion. There is a restaurant in the hotel with great food but quiet pricey. Staff were kind a helpful. Would stay there again.

We had a great stay at the Abbey Hotel. When we checked in we found the reception compact, but everything you need in one place. We found the receptionists very polite and welcoming, you can see that they will in endeavour to make your stay as comfortable as possible. On our visit the lift was undergoing maintenance, so we had to climb the stairs, which being fit and healthy wasn't issue for us, although assistance was offered, but declined. When we arrived at our room, we had a lovely surprise a great and enchanting room on the top floor, you feel like you are in the roof, overlooking the roof tops of Bath city centre. The room and bathroom were cleaned to a very high standard with fresh towels each day, although the bathroom was a bit tired and could do with updating.
I would highly recommend the breakfast as it is to a very high quality, with plenty of choice and the staff are great.
If I am ever in Bath again I would definitely stay at the Abbey Hotel.

Room Tip: The third floor is very quiet and romantic.

Stayed at this Hotel many times booked in here my Company, and always found it to be a very nice welcoming Hotel, and the breakfasts were good also, which always makes an a good additional extra. I used to be always given a room almost at the top of the Hotel, which I quite liked, and it was always nice and quiet. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting a good class of Hotel.
