A lovely hotel with extremely helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for Daniel, the manager.
He showed us round the hotel on arrival and was prompt and efficient when dealing with any query. The room was very comfortable and tidy. It was a good base for touring Bath and I would be happy to make a return visit to Bailbrook Lodge. It was very good value for money. Thank you to all the staff and very best wishes for the future success of your hotel.

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a night away from it all at this peaceful hotel. We were welcomed by Dan the manager who was very friendly and personable. He showed us to our room and around the lodge which all looked lovely. During our stay we found all the staff to be attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and tidy and had lovely views. There was plenty of choice at breakfast to suit all tastes. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would certainly recommend a stay here

I was charged £180 for a night for the Jane Austen Suite and the room was not up to standard. There is no bath. The shower was faulty. The sink was blocked and it nearly flooded the room. A lightbulb was missing. We had to request for bathrobes which was promised on their website. Customer service was extremely poor. Had to wait around for some time before I was able to check in. No apologies received for the poor management. I do not recommend this overpriced accommodation.

All guests are advised that check in is from 2pm. Obviously when a room is serviced and checked prior to 2pm we are only too happy to check the guest in early. Occasionally a bulb will blow when either switched on or off as happened on this occasion. The bulb was replaced immediately. The laundry arrived late on Saturday hence the reason the dressing gowns had to be placed in the room after the guests had checked into their room. I apologised for the delay. Our maintenance man has checked the sink and found no fault. The water flows away freely. The water pressure is very strong hence the sink fills fast. Our four poster rooms have been fitted with wet rooms. We have standard rooms available with free standing baths (shown on our website). A similar four poster room in Bath on a Saturday night would cost £280.00 upwards. We believe we offer good value for money. I am sorry the guest felt we were expensive.

For Christmas 2012 our children and their partners bought us two nights away in Bath. We went by train, then taxi and reached our destination; Bailbrook Lodge. It was a small, elegant Georgian hotel with just 15 bedrooms. We were welcomed at reception and taken to our room 'The Jane Austen Suite'. The room was large with a high ceiling and fireplace; there was a lovely four poster bed, satellite TV, hairdryer and trouser press together with coffee and tea making facilities, biscuits, mineral water and toiletries. There was an en-suite shower room with toilet and the sink was just outside. There were also bath robes and slippers at the end of the bed. A chandelier hung from the high ceiling. There was a bay window which overlooked the lovely garden and beyond. Being February the heating was on and the room was very warm; also the water was very hot! After we unpacked we went downstairs for a complimentary drink of tea (or coffee); there we met some other people who were staying at the hotel. The lounge room was very comfortable and cosy. Next morning we went down for breakfast which was excellent; there were cereals, fruit, yoghurt and you were given a choice of tea or coffee and could have a full english breakfast or other choices on the menu including kippers. You were also given toast and marmalade. The next day we visited Bath which is a fascinating city to look round. We ate at 'The Royal' in the evening and the food there was excellent. We found the hotel to be very clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely return to Bailbrook in the future; a lovely relaxing stay which we would thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the garden and you won't be disappointed.

After first fabulous trip for a Spa break with girlfriends I promised my family that we would all go together another time and have just been back during half term. Service and food as excellent and friendly as before, value for money superb, their special breaks are brilliant! This time we also ate at Brunel's brasserie - yum!

Room Tip: We had Garden suite which has seperate twin room for children with it's own TV
