This was the first time we stayed at this Hotel, the room was very comfortable and warm, bathroom was good warm and plenty of hot water. Staff were so friendly, food was excellent, cannot fault it. nice walk into Bath down hill, only ten minutes and a bus back up. Very good value tree days, will do again.

Room Tip: Standard room was all to the good, on higher floor did not hear any noise.

The room was very large and comfortable as was the bathroom with good storage space!!!but did require a long walk to the main areas and had a lovely view of the car park and a dubious lock on the patio doors and the shower was cold
The hotel was very clean and the staff were cheerful helpful and pleasant. All the main areas were comfortably furnished with lovely warm fires which was great for a February evening. The original features particularly the dining room were beautiful.
However we felt the prices were quite expensive for a hotel which was not in central Bath and needed a bus ride or taxi to negotiate the steep hill!!!!
The food also left a lot to be desired ie the steak which had been requested rare came extremely well done and was tough and full of fat!!!the chowder while tasty left me with an upset stomach!!!
There was also no room service available
On balance we would not choose to stay here again

This was the second time we have stayed for a long weekend at the Landsdown. we always are very satisfied and the staff are so friendly . we would certainly recomend . The hotel could maybe do with a little update as it is a little shabby and outdated. but as I said before it will. Not put us off staying there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel with friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Located up the hill overlooking Bath, the bus service or taxis were the perfect way for us to enjoy our weekend which naturally included shopping!!! Maybe some parts are in need of some attention but that is cosmetic and no doubt will be sorted. So good value for money and even sandwiches made at 1:30 am by the night reception person.

Room Tip: If you have a disability it needs mentioning as they have a lot of steps and levels in the Hotel.

This hotel is good value for money and well located to see the sights as the bus stop is just outside. The room was clean spacious and comfortable with a marvellous view over the city and the staff were friendly and welcoming with the reception staff kindly providing a map on arrival and helpful details about the bus services.

The food, whilst having slightly smaller portion sizes than other Shearings hotels, was most enjoyable and there are very comfortable lounges and bar areas for sitting with cosy fires.

We would recommend this hotel and hopefully will return next month for a longer stay as there is so much to see in Bath that it needs more than one trip.
