In short: We stayed here six nights. The rooms are clean, the service is excellent, breakfast is plentiful and you’ll have a perfect night sleep. I thoroughly recommend Tasburgh House, and wouldn't hesitate to visit again in the future.
The long version: Right from the get go Tasburgh House stood out to me. I booked a good month or so in advance as my partner and I were visiting Bath for our six year anniversary. After calling and e-mailing several Hotels/Guest Houses in the area it was Sue (the proprietor of Tasburgh) who grabbed my attention. Her friendly manner and recommendations for our visit to Bath (even though we hadn't finalised a booking with her at this point) was the first clue we were going to get that personal level of service we so enjoy. I wasn't disappointed.
Before our arrival (after finally booking) Sue was available for communication via e-mail, and she was always happy to have a phone conversation. She was exceptionally helpful at arranging all the little surprises for my partner (such as the wine on arrival), she even organised flowers to be delivered for the day of our anniversary with absolutely nothing to worry about from my end.

Upon arrival we were greeted and made to feel very welcome. Sue gave us a small tour of the house and went through a little welcome pack with us (including map). When taken up to our room we found our bag had already been taken up. The room was very clean, bright and airy with personalised welcome message. We stayed in the Jane Austin Room on the top floor which had lovely views from two different sides of the Hotel and was serviced everyday (for more details see room tips below).
The wonderful service continued throughout our six night stay with recommendations on local restaurants, attractions etc. Sue was actually very good at anticipating our needs offering drinks and nibbles at all the right moments. You might be sat in the gardens or have just arrived back from town and she was there ready and waiting, yet, you never felt bothered or pressured into having things you didn't want/need. It really was perfect service, I can’t stress that enough. Sues recommendations of local restaurants throughout our stay were always spot on, and it was nice to come back from a long day in Bath to find a restaurant suggestion (with menu print out) in our room “just in case”. Oh and before I forget! Sue was actually kind enough to have my partner’s anniversary present gift wrapped for me. I had to buy it in...More
