Having stayed three nights in Tasburgh House last weekend, I would thoroughly recommend this stunning hotel with equally stunning views. The staff were attentive and very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was also the little extra touches that made this a very special place to stay. I have already given a card to someone I know, recommending a stay this amazing find.

Room Tip: I stayed in the 'Dickens' single bedroom which had steps up to the shower Beautiful soft pillows and egyptian cotton sheets - heavenly!.

My husband and I stayed at Tasburghhouse, for a special birthday weekend
Such a lovely place to stay, with beatiful grounds and accommodation, the staff were very helpful a and very cheery, service with a smile.
Would definitely recommend it to friends.
We stayed in the Thomas Dylan room, although it was a little on the small side it was however, cosy and very clean, with tea and coffee among facilities, with proper china cups and teapot.
It was lovely to be able to come back to our room after,a long day in Bath to a nice cup of tea/coffee out on the terrace, overlooking the beatiful meadows.

This BnB met all expectations of a good BnB. Service and cleanliness were 100%. Friendly and comfortable, safe and fairly priced. Bath is an interesting site and this was a good place to see it from. The bus tour to Stonehenge picked me up at the house and the house helped insure my place in a busy tour when I had trouble booking. Although the location is not in the center of the city it is very quiet and the grounds are very nice and interesting.

Room Tip: If you have any special concerns Sue will listen and make sure you are looked after.

The Tasburgh House is a lovely house on beautiful grounds about a 20 minute walk from central Bath. You can walk through the gardens and along the canal, which is very pleasant, but would not probably work in the rain unless you had Wellies. (They do offer boots.) Alternatively, you can walk down the hill on a moderately busy street but it may be too steep to walk up easily. It is about 8-15 pounds for a cab ride, depending on your location in Bath, so if you do not like to walk, consider this when pricing the hotel.

Our room (Tennyson) was small but pleasantly decorated with two chairs, a desk and chair, and bed. There was no refrigerator/mini bar. The bathroom was good size and had your typical UK shower in the bath with the half door. There were big windows you could open and the room has a lovely view of the gardens and cows in the distance.

A continental breakfast in available in the dining room and sunroom, and it was satisfactory. The coffee was also good. We ordered a hot breakfast one morning and it took about 25 minutes for the omelet to come. We were told the food was all cooked fresh, but still seemed a bit long. We were charged 8.50 pounds for the omelet (~$13).

One day decided to picnic in our room with food from M&S and Sue was very accommodating and stored it in a refrigerator until we were ready to eat. She also was very helpful making reservations.

We used their laundry service, which suggests it costs 12.50 pounds per bag but they appear to split out colors and whites (even if in one bag), resulting in double laundry charges from what we expected.

We needed to print less than 10 pages and found we were charged 5 pounds for this, which we had not been warned about. This irritated us and seemed to be an excessive charge for the service.

Overall, the hotel is lovely and Sue is eager to please. If you are up for a walk, it is a good choice, but do ask about incidental charges.

Room Tip: We were in room 6, which has a lovely view of the gardens.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The house was lovingly maintained with a beautiful garden which is clearly a labour of love. The staff & owner were pleasant, attentive & couldn't do enough for us. The rooms a tad small but very quaint & beautifully furnished. Thanks for making our stay in bath a little extra special! Highly recommended next time you're in the area
