Couple in their late 40's
The position of the hotel is fairly high above the town providing great views.
All of the staff are welcoming and helpful.
The grounds, rooms and communial areas are immaculate.
Just down the hill is the canal which provides lovely walks
20 - 30 minutes walk to the centre of town all down hill. Taxi back..£6.00
Large comfortable bed.
The washing machines seem to run all night and although they are just audible the knocking of the pipes and water delivery is very loud especially from room 6
Unsure if this is common but the sound of helicopters through the night was more than annoying. Not the hotels fault but needs mentioning. They appear to be coming and heading from Yeovil.
The trains seem to run all night and again due to being high on the hill the sound does carry, with the heat the windows had to be left open. Would suggest simple ear plugs to help with this.
Overall a pleasant stay and would go again. I would request a room further away from the kitchen / laundry room and take ear plugs. The cleanliness and personal approach is what makes this hotel worth returning to.More
