My two friends and I enjoyed the elegant hospitality of Tasburgh House in June 2014; we stayed for two nights. We had our own car so were pleased to find we could park right at the front door. We were met by gracious host Sue who welcomed us warmly and showed us to our rooms. The view from our bedroom and bathroom was magnificent; over the valley to Bath. Sue is clearly passionate about hospitality; she has an excellent staff to support her. Beds were comfortable, views magnificent, breakfast wonderful, shared sitting areas attractively furnished and welcoming. My favorite part of Tasburgh House, apart from proprietor Sue, was the garden which sloped down a grassy hill to the canal. We enjoyed the walk into town along the canal path. Our two days at Tasburgh House was a highlight of our holiday in the UK.

Room Tip: All rooms looked great - see website for excellent photos. I loved the valley view from our room at...

We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Though not centrally located the hotel offers a perfect location to enjoy everything in Bath, perfect if you enjoy a lovely walk down the hill to the canal and on through the Georgian streets to the centre. The staff were charming and efficient, our room had the best view out over the roof tops and to the rolling hills behind the town. Possibly over furnished our room had everything you would expect. Breakfasts were generous and there was a wide choice from cold meats, cheese, home made granola to a full English. What we were really impressed with was the small "Big Ben' tag on our room key that got us 10% off on tickets at all the sites and some restaurants. A generous contribution to our Bath experience.

The only place to stay when in Bath.
Tasburgh House should be ranked no 1 without doubt!
Beautiful place with a beautiful setting made even better by Super Sue & her fantastic team.
This is what hospitality is all about without doubt.
From the moment we arrived the level of service was just brilliant. I don't think we have stayed anywhere (& we travel extensively) where the owner goes the extra mile time & time again. Nothing is too much trouble, if you want something Sue is tapping on your door in minutes. Phone calls into the room just to check how you are & if you need guidance in where to visit, dine etc just adds to the personal service.
The great thing about Tasburgh House is that it's within walking distance into the centre so you can leave your car without worrying about where to park it. And what a walk. We strolled down to the bottom of Sue's huge & most beautiful garden which takes you to the river. Crossed over the bridge & admired the canal boats as we continued to walk into town.
This place is spotless & the cooked breakfasts are incredible. From an extensive & fresh choice of tasty produce to choose from for the continental breakfast to an amazing cooked selection you cannot go wrong! Peter & the rest of the breakfast team are simply fantastic.
Thank you Sue, team & Tasburgh for making our stay simply memorable!

Room Tip: A must to have a room facing the beautiful garden especially with a terrace.

I travelled down from London and stayed here for 3 days for work meetings. Beautifully furnished with impeccable service, quintessentially British and very warm welcome. Sue and her staff went out of her way to make us at home and food was to a high standard, very good value for money overall and easily accessible to Bath and surrounding areas with easy links to Salisbury and Southampton

I live in Bath but my leaders live and work all over Europe, to let them know where I come from and to give them a taste of the best English hospitality I bring them to me once a year.
Sue and her team at Tasburgh are wonderful, I have used them before and will keep doing so. My team were amazed and delighted by this wonderful boutique guest house.

When we arrived we were welcomed by Sue who, during our 2 day stay, made us most welcome.
We were very lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside both evenings and enjoy the beautiful view of Bath while enjoying a glass of wine. The bed was very comfortable and the food was first class. I would thoroughly recommend Tasburgh House.

From the white glove service at breakfast, to the tea tray in the room, to the amazing view from the perfectly landscaped back yard, to the lovely walk into town, to the wonderful hospitality of Sue and her staff--I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The only problem was it wasn't long enough. I hope to return again soon. Thank you Sue!../ Stefanie M.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view of the backyard, if you can.
