We very much enjoyed our two-night stay at Tasburgh House in August. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our two young children particularly loved staying here as they were given lots of attention by staff at breakfast, and their collection of bedtime toys were arranged very lovingly when our room was tidied and made-up ready for our second night. We all stayed in the Shelley room, a large family room which was extremely comfortable. We were surprised that a cooked breakfast was an additional cost but it was tasty nonetheless.

Stayed with friends for a mid week girlie break. Sue was fantastic emailing us prior to arrival to support us with a last minute date change.
The house is just beautiful and very tastefully decorated and the gardens and view had the wow factor. We sat out in the garden prior to going out in the evening and shared a lovely bottle of wine overlooking the breathtaking views.
Our room was comfortable and clean and had enough space for 3 girls with excessive luggage. We all slept very well.
We walked into Bath along the canal which is a short very pretty walk starting from the back of the house.
We all had the cooked breakfast and it was very well presented and tasted great.
We all have said that we will visit again it was just that good. Thanks Sue !!

We stayed at the Tasburgh on a weekend in June. We had the Hardy room which was lovely, quiet and overlooked the gardens. Sue was very welcoming and helpful. We opted for the continental breakfast having eaten out the night before, which was very nice. I'm sure we'll be back.

We stayed here for two nights last week. Sue and her team are absolutely delightful - it's not often you find a place where you receive such a genuine welcome that lasts during your stay. The continental breakfast was excellent and we didn't need to try the cooked breakfast option but we would have been perfectly happy to pay extra for it. We were able to eat breakfast in the garden on our first morning and that was a treat - the garden is beautiful. Our room was the Oscar Wilde which had french windows leading out onto the side patio. It was quite small but we were told this when phoning to book and it wasn't a problem for the couple of nights we were there. Bathroom was good and everywhere very clean. We would happily return.

Room Tip: The Oscar Wilde room is quite small and does not have one of the huge beds that seem to be everywher...

We recently stayed for 2 nights at Tasburgh House and we had a wonderful time. The house is in an elevated position above the Kennet and Avon canal just outside Bath city centre. We had the George Elliot room which was extremely comfortable and decorated in the French style. The gardens are extensive (17 acres) with a fabulous terrace with magnificent views. We were fortunate that the weather was hot and sunny and sitting on the terrace enjoying a drink as the sun went down was a real highlight. Sue and her staff were utterly charming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was continental but more than adequate and a cooked breakfast was available for a small extra cost. It is a very pleasant 20 minute walk into Bath through the gardens along the canal tow path and we didn't need to use the car during our stay. If returning after dark we would recommend a taxi (about £7) as the tow path is dark. We would definitely recommend Tasburgh House if you are looking for a bit of luxury and special treatment. You will. It be disappointed.

Recently stayed at Tasburgh House where Sue Keeling the charming owner made us feel very much at home. There is a beautiful view overlooking the gardens and down into Bath. It is very peaceful, and quite lovely. The Hotel breakfast was divine, served al fresco (depending on weather.) The staff are very helpful.

We stayed at the Hotel on 3rd and 4th August, in the Thomas Hardy room which has a beautiful view overlooking the Hotels wonderful gardens. You can stroll down the garden to a gate which leads to a path by the Kennet canal and walk into Bath town centre.

The rooms are really well thought through individually in a boutique kind of style, Sue and her team are genuinely friendly and helpful. We sat in the lovely lounge and I drank a couple of glasses of the finest cabernet sauvignon (from New Zealand I think) that I've ever had.

Breakfast is a really nice continental style with all the usual things or a massive full English as an extra.

I can vouch for this place.
