I booked this hotel due the reviews and the location, I am really glad I did! We went for the Christmas market, due to changing weather conditions I wanted somewhere local to stay so I could pop back easily.
The hotel was really busy as not only was the Christmas market on so was the Rugby. The hotel was fully booked, the bar was really busy with the rugby crowd, the hotel had a really good atmosphere considering the staff were run off their feet. We chose the superior room as it was only slightly more expensive, I'm glad we did. The room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the train station, it was fairly quiet it certainly did not disturb us. The room was clean and the bed was nice and comfy with good facilities. The staff at the hotel were really helpful and friendly especially considering how busy they all were. We booked in at the hotel restaurant which had a nice atmosphere, the tables were spaced out well, again the staff were brilliant but unfortunately the food was not too good. I had dry chicken with watery veg which did not taste of anything and my husband had a ok mixed grill, mind you the desert made up for it! The breakfast was good and kept up full all morning. I would certainly recommend this hotel to any of my friends when they visit Bath.More
