This hotel is a real gem in the heart of Bath. If you want old fashioned England with all the mod cons come here! The service was friendly, and highly efficient.

My only slight issue was the heat of the rooms but management were excellent at providing an additional fan. Although I do feel that changing the window boxes and leaving petals all over the floors makes this hotel look shabby but again most likely an isolated issue.

I would happily stay here again!

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post this review and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us.

There is not excuse, of course, for flower petals all over the floor and please accept my apologies for this lack of attention to detail by our staff on this occasion.

it was so near to the Rail station, so i'm glad that i've booked it.
there was lift to go upstairs, no worry, when compared with some other hotels in UK.
there are different choices for breakfast, which i was very satisfied, not just toasts / eggs...
the bathroom was quite newly furbished,
one thing i don't like, the wooden floor is noisy when the man next room walked around his room...

Room Tip: ask for room facing the back of the main road.

Thank you for your review

I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.

With regards to the “noisy wood floor” I am at a loss to understand as to which room this would be as all the rooms are carpeted. Please would you be good enough to email me the number of the room that you stayed in.

I look forward to hearing from you.

We stayed on the 2 night bed, breakfast and evening meal deal. The hotel is ideally situated near the city centre, we paid extra for the on-site parking, at £8.20 per night this eradicated any parking issues. The whole staff we met were a credit to the hotel, polite, smiling and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast and evening meals were really tasty and well presented. The room on the 3rd floor was functional, although it was really hot at night but this is no real problem when you only stay 2 nights. I would not hesitate to stay at the Royal Hotel again.

Of course Bath is not an inexpensive site, but the hotel location and staff make it totally worth the expense. The room although small is excellently appointed including a French press and coffee. Wow. The bed was comfortable and there was just room to exercise on our yoga mats. Recommend any spa package they offer.a fine value. The staff was very cheery and helpful. We had afternoon tea in the restaurant and it was lovely tea, scones and clotted cream. Jolly.

The Roal hotel is well located, easy to find, just across the Bath Spa railway station. It is walking distance to the center of the city (roman baths, cathedral, etc.) Very quiet hotel. Our room was large with a very nice bathroom. It was quiet, very clean. The hotel also has an elevator so you do not have to climb the stairs with your luggage. Parking is not far from the hotel, adjacent to the police station. The hotel personnel is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent and is served in a nice dining room.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Royal. You will be aware from other reviews that the Hotel enjoys a great location. I would also add that the Hotel was easy to find, just follow the directions to the Railway Station. All the staff were pleasant and helpful and very professional at all times. Our room was traditional and comfortable. Our room faced the back and we weren't bothered by any noise. The food at breakfast and evening was very good with a nice choice of dishes. We booked on a two night special break with was excellent value. Would definitely stay at the Royal in future.
