I can only re-iterate what the reviews on the first two pages already state. A great warm and cosy hotel with very welcoming staff.. We were two couples on a 'Travelzoo deal' which was excellent value and we were NOT treated as the 'cheap and cheerfuls'. We even had two rooms next to each other (without requesting this). We were on the 3rd floor (top) and the shower water pressure was low in our two rooms, hot water but you 'have to run around a bit' to get wet. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the excellent stay we enjoyed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.Make a note about parking (book if you can with hotel) but there is a car park 200-300 yards up the same road. As someone mentioned, it is free between 8 pm and 8 am but do not think you can get away with a sneaky extra half an hour in the morning before moving the car or adding some extra hours, as the car park attendant was there just after 8 am. Plenty to do in Bath (do your homework) but worth noting that there is a FREE guided tour of the city every Sunday morning from 10.30 am -12.30 pm and the volunteer guides will not take any monetary tips! (just turn up outside The Pump Rooms).

Room tip: We asked for rooms at the rear as other guests had said that it could be noisy at the front of the hotel.

Thank you for your review and awarding us 5 stars.

I regret that on this occasion you found the shower pressure low and we have now dealt with this issue.

Last but not least I am delighted to note that you would stay with us again and I look forward to that.

Booked the hotel with the best location to the train station and previous visits to the bar area. Some reviews mentioned noise at the front of the hotel but this was not a problem with the secondary glazing. If you like non modern hotels you will like this one. The breakfast is worth mentioning that the selection is very good and excellent quality and with good staff it makes for a very delightful experience.

Lovely, hotel for a great price, perfect central location and friendly staff. The room was fairly small with only a view of the back of other buildings. However, it was exceptionally quiet and very clean and cosy. We really enjoyed the food, both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Sited directly opposite the train station the Royal is in a perfect position for those using the railway. What might colloquially be called "spitting distance".
Our room was not large but more than adequate for our two day sojourn.
The food was excellent and although on a special "deal" we were able to choose from the whole dinner and breakfast menus. (Some places have special restricted menus for people on a spa package).
In summary a comfortable traditional hotel, excellent staff, perfect position, lifts to all floors and worth a visit.
Not sure of situation re parking. Probably restricted.

Thank you very much for your review and for your delightful compliments regarding your two days stay with us.

I was very pleased to note that you appreciated that with a dinner inclusive stay our guests can chose whatever they want from the menu without any restrictions.

With regards to parking we do have limited parking and therefore it is best to book a space when reserving your room on a future visit

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Very nice setting in the lounge bar . Friendly and efficient waiter . Good range of drinks including cocktails. Would recommend as a place near to the station and for its relaxed atmosphere . Hopefully will return next time in Bath .
