From our reception on arrival to the very last minute, Diane and Glyn were the perfect hosts. We only stayed for three nights but they helped us pack as much as possible into such a short period.

Breakfast was a dream -- and yes, Glyn's fruit salad is to die for. We stayed in the Bathwick room and not only was it large, clean and extremely comfortable, but so was the bathroom, which was equipped with both a tub and a separate walk-in shower.

If awards a given to genuine warmth, conviviality and a sincere love of people, Diane and Glyn would win hands down.

First the B&B. Just outstanding! Clean, spacious, comfortable and a decent but delightful walk to the centre of this magnificent town. There is accessible and easy car parking and breakfasts are a treat.

One would have to a misanthrope not to warm to Diane and Glyn's pride in the house, their love of Bath and human contact. If Basil Fawlty had a polar opposite they lie here. Glyn happily drives his guests into the town and I even received an impromptu tour of the brilliant Somerset and Lansdowne Crescents. Not as famous as Royal Crescent but as beautiful! Further, their recommendations are first rate. Make sure you eat at the Circle and take the free guided tours run by knowledgeable locals.

Enough said. I am joining in the chorus of admiration and I cannot wait to return and join the extended family and friends that Diane and Glyn have generated through their immaculate hospitality and vibrant warmth.

I have stayed at Hawkins of Bath nearly every week for two nights since March this year (2013) due to business requirements.
Both Glyn and Diane are fantastic hosts, and have become friends. They cannot do enough for you as a guest. They understand the meaning of customer satisfaction.
The place itself is fantastic and has an air of elegance, The rooms are a delight as I have stayed in all of them. There is a fabulous lounge reception area and I have had many discussions with other guests on their travels.
Breakfast is first class and offers a healthy choice and there is always a welcoming "morning" from Glyn to start the day.
If coming to Bath, and not wanting a hotel ( really don't need one)Hawkins is the place to stay and it is excellent value. You will not regret.

We booked Hawkins because it was so highly rated on Trip Advisor. Weren't disappointed. Wonderful breakfast, especially the fruit salad. Room very well fitted out. Loved the luxury bathroom and the separate lounge. Everything about this place is good quality.

My husband and I stayed at Hawkins of Bath for 5 nights at the end of September. Diane and Glyn couldn't have been better hosts. Breakfasts are excellent; large ensuite rooms are spotless and well-appointed. The bed was especially comfortable. A living room is conducive to socializing with other guests, as well as Diane and Glyn. Glyn was especially helpful suggesting nearby sightseeing, even mapping a route for us! We've been to many B&B's, and Hawkins is definitely the best. It's not just any B&B, it's a home away from home.

We stayed at Hawkins of Bath last weekend with a couple of friends. The moment that we walked in we thought WOW- The pictures do not do it justice. Our expectations were exceeded. Diane and Glyn warmly welcomed us offering tea and coffee whilst they chatted to us about Hawkins and Bath. It felt like we were being welcomed into a friends home. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. The bedrooms were amazing as were the bathrooms. This B&B has been lovingly restored by the owners and they have a collection of photograph albums on the PC which you can view that shows this. Breakfast was freshly prepared, a lovely fresh fruit salad, cereals and yogurts followed by a full English breakfast or scrambled egg and smoked salmon- I tried both as we were there 2 mornings - they were lovely. Diane and Glyn recommend a couple of their favourite restaurants and we loved their favourite- Aqua- so much on Friday we went back Saturday! The lounge area was a lovely bonus where we could sit and chat with our friends and the other guests. It wasn't a long walk into town, but a cab was only about £7... but then you would miss the walk through the park! We have already decided that we will be returning to Bath, and there is no where else we would stay, so soon as we have decided on dates we will be booking as we would hate to be disappointed!

Room Tip: We occupied both ground floor rooms, both lovely and we both slept well. Walk-in shower was a lovel...
