We read the Trip Advisor reviews about Hawkins of Bath, hence our choosing this B&B, and it certainly did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived and were welcomed warmly by Glyn and Diane, we had a wonderful, relaxing time. Ever helpful and friendly, but not obtrusive, Glyn and Diane were excellent hosts, and you can tell they really enjoy meeting people, and making sure their guests enjoy their stay.

The rooms were decorated very tastefully, and the beds were so comfortable with the plushest, warmest duvets, and very comfortable mattresses. We enjoyed a DVD one evening from the large selection before heading out to dinner in Bath, as well as use of their lovely sitting room for a glass of wine. Breakfast and refreshments were just right - good variety, from the healthy to the big British breakfast.

It was a perfect complement to a wonderful and memorable weekend in Bath for my friends and me. I will definitely visit again, and would thoroughly recommend the place to young people, families, and couples alike.

Just one quick note - it is a 20 min walk to the Royal Crescent, and 30 mins to the Roman Baths (city centre). It is quite a nice stroll but it is only 7 quid in a taxi home, so the distance wasn't a problem, and it was nice to be in a quieter area than centre of town.

Room Tip: We had the suite for a couple and myself in the "twin bed" room, which was fine, and would...

We have stayed at Hawkins at least 3 or 4 times a year (visiting our daughter in Bath) since they opened and we very much feel it is a home from home (only better decorated, furnished and with a nicer bathroom!). Diane and Glyn are as wonderful as ever and work very hard to keep up the high standards they have set and deserve all the praise they get. Thank you yet again for a lovely stay, your efforts are deservedly appreciated far and wide!

We had a wonderful stay at Hawkins. We were in Bath to visit the spa but Hawkins helped to complete our short visit. There was just the right amount of friendly chat and just letting us get on with relaxing. The room, despite facing the road, was quiet and very well kept. Everything was immaculate and clean, the sheets were crisp and the towels were white and fluffy. The bed and duvet alone are worth returning for! Breakfast was large, well cooked, and served in the garden room.

The B&B is well located, just a short taxi ride from town (about £8 from the station) but you could just as easily walk into the centre in less than 30 minutes.

In all we had an excellent stay and would definitely return again. I will be recommending Hawkins to my friends.

Perfect hosts, B&B and location. It's as simple as that. Everything you could ask for and more, a must stay thanks to the hard work and effort made by Glyn and Diane! Rooms are great, breakfast is marvelous and the dining area is fantastic to wake up to and eat in!

Had a wonderful 2 day stay here. Hosts Diane and Glyn were so welcoming, full of local knowledge and tips and always helpful but not intrusive. Their enthusiasm for the city of Bath was genuine and we benefited from several recommendations for areas to visit that were not on the usual tourist path. It is a walk to the centre but buses and taxis are easily available and the walk is healthy and helpful as stated in a previous review. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the en-suite bath a real luxury. We would have no hesitation in recommending Hawkins B&B to friends and will return. Thank you Diane and Glyn.

loved staying here. The suite we stayed in was gorgeous, well-equipped and the hosts were great. Very relaxing and well-kept B & B, although the proximity to town's centre wasn't ideal. Were I to come back to Bath, I would certainly stay here again. My only gripe about staying in Bath is the parking, but that has nothing to do with Hawkins.

I can only echo all the previous reviews - this is an excellent place to stay, run by excellent hosts. Just two things to add - firstly, don't be put off by the distance from the centre - we valued the walk after some very good meals (and the taxis are very efficient!). And, secondly, we hope to come back when the hobbit house folly is completed, weathered into the bank and the roses are out....
