Hawkins of Bath is a wonderful luxury bed and breakfast run by the most charming hosts Diane and Glyn. I luckily stayed here when my son had an overnight stay in hospital after operation. So restful to be able come back to such a charming and inviting room after many hours waiting at the hospital. The large, high ceiling ground floor room as well as being beautifully decorated was toasty warm. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Can highly recommend this B & B, and would stay here again without hesitation on my next visit to Bath, as the location is great and there is free off road parking behind the large Victorian house. Glyn, thank you for lift to hospital and saving me those horrendous parking fees.

Looking to book a B&B for a stop over after a night at the theatre royal i checked trip advisor and this was number 1. After staying i have to stay this is one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed at. The house is a victorian style with large rooms and ceilings. Our stay started off well with off road parking and a warm and friendly welcome from Diane and Glyn and tea and a chat in the lounge. The house has been completely restored with very high quality fixtures and fittings with additional amenities like 2 wifi networks to cover all parts of the house and even a pc to use in the lounge. The walk into town is really good and you get to see just part of beautiful Bath along the royal mile. Our hosts couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. I think we got a bargain as i would have happily paid another 50% because of the quality of the room and hosts to match other places we have stayed. If you are staying in Bath there is no other place to stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The reviews here are not wrong, this place deserves all the praise it gets. We stayed in the Lansdown room on the ground floor and had a wonderful night's sleep. Although located about 20 mins walk away, the route is easy and a good way to take in some of the sights. The hosts were great and incredibly hospitable. I can't think of anywhere else I'd want to stay in Bath. If I'm back in this city, this is where I would stay and in the same room - you get the plush living room across from it which is nice to relax in when you come back from the town centre.

We read the Trip Advisor reviews about Hawkins of Bath, hence our choosing this B&B, and it certainly did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived and were welcomed warmly by Glyn and Diane, we had a wonderful, relaxing time. Ever helpful and friendly, but not obtrusive, Glyn and Diane were excellent hosts, and you can tell they really enjoy meeting people, and making sure their guests enjoy their stay.

The rooms were decorated very tastefully, and the beds were so comfortable with the plushest, warmest duvets, and very comfortable mattresses. We enjoyed a DVD one evening from the large selection before heading out to dinner in Bath, as well as use of their lovely sitting room for a glass of wine. Breakfast and refreshments were just right - good variety, from the healthy to the big British breakfast.

It was a perfect complement to a wonderful and memorable weekend in Bath for my friends and me. I will definitely visit again, and would thoroughly recommend the place to young people, families, and couples alike.

Just one quick note - it is a 20 min walk to the Royal Crescent, and 30 mins to the Roman Baths (city centre). It is quite a nice stroll but it is only 7 quid in a taxi home, so the distance wasn't a problem, and it was nice to be in a quieter area than centre of town.

Room Tip: We had the suite for a couple and myself in the "twin bed" room, which was fine, and would...

We have stayed at Hawkins at least 3 or 4 times a year (visiting our daughter in Bath) since they opened and we very much feel it is a home from home (only better decorated, furnished and with a nicer bathroom!). Diane and Glyn are as wonderful as ever and work very hard to keep up the high standards they have set and deserve all the praise they get. Thank you yet again for a lovely stay, your efforts are deservedly appreciated far and wide!

We had a wonderful stay at Hawkins. We were in Bath to visit the spa but Hawkins helped to complete our short visit. There was just the right amount of friendly chat and just letting us get on with relaxing. The room, despite facing the road, was quiet and very well kept. Everything was immaculate and clean, the sheets were crisp and the towels were white and fluffy. The bed and duvet alone are worth returning for! Breakfast was large, well cooked, and served in the garden room.

The B&B is well located, just a short taxi ride from town (about £8 from the station) but you could just as easily walk into the centre in less than 30 minutes.

In all we had an excellent stay and would definitely return again. I will be recommending Hawkins to my friends.
