“Fantastic apartment”
Reviewed 20 November 2012 for a stay in November 2012

I stayed here for a week while working in Bath. It was just what I needed after six weeks away. Such a beautiful, clean and warm apartment with everything anyone would need. The location is perfect, only a few minutes walk away from the centre of Bath's shopping high street and the Bath Therma Spa. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Bath and will certainly be booking it next time I am there. Katie and Natasha were so helpful with my booking and made sure I had everything I needed for the week. Michael

“PERFECT LOCATION IN BATH”
Reviewed 26 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

I stayed in this apartment with my husband for three nights in October 2012. Booking was straightforward ( we had to pay an extre returnable £150 breakage deposit) and our very helpful host, Katie, met us upon our arrival in Bath.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a lovely house in a very central location, about 1-2 minutes walk to Bath Abbey. The apartment is very clean, warm and spacious with all mod cons, The bed was super comfortable and soap/shower gel were provided. Katie also provides those little extras, e.g tea/coffee. The living room fronts on to a main road which can be very noisy with traffic and revellers at the weekend. This did not bother us at all as we enjoyed the lively atmosphere of Bath. We would love to return to Bath and would not consider staying anywhere else except John Wood House. Thanks to Katie who really went out of her way to help us.

“Absolutely fabulous”
Reviewed 12 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

John Wood House is the perfect place to stay in Bath. Just two blocks from the train station and one block from the city center, restaurants, pubs, tours, shops and grocery stores are just steps away. Despite being on a busy street, the apartment was quiet and spacious and has everything you need; a calm retreat in a wonderful town.

“Splendid Apartment”
Reviewed 25 September 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at John Wood House for a week during the historic Bath Jane Austen Festival in Sept 2012. The apartment is situated right in the centre of Bath, between the station and the Abbey, with a nice view over the Catholic Church. We were greeted by Katie when we arrived who was really lovely, and told us about some good local restaurants and the local food stores (just around the corner). The apartment was clean and comfortable and was ideal as a base for our busy days in Bath during the festival. Although small, the kitchen was great for breakfasts and cooking for two and the living area good for relaxing in the evenings.

My only complaints would be that having paid out £90 for a parking permit, actually finding a place to park within 1/2 an hours walk of the apartment was very problematic! We also found that the bathroom flooded completely when we showered and stayed flooded for most of the week!

Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we would both stay here again.

Many thanks Katie :)

“Perfect location, pretty apartment”
Reviewed 2 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

Really lovely stay in Bath! The location was phenomenal - we were able to walk everywhere in the city centre very easily. Katie provided us with a resident's parking permit at a reasonable cost, and there was usually a spot available just around the corner from the apartment - which is where we left the car all weekend. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. We went on a hot weekend, so left the windows open during the night, which meant there was some street noise from revellers headed home at 3am, but it didn't bother us too much. Katie was really helpful - makes such a difference to helping your arrival/departure go smoothly. The kitchen area is small, but we only used it to make breakfasts, as there's such a fabulous selection of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. However, if you wanted to cook some other meals, it's could be managed.
