“Perfect location for everything”

Stayed from Friday to Sunday in July.

Apartment is 30 seconds walk from nearest car park and roadside parking on Sunday was free. Parked in Manvers St car park - descent price.

Apartment had everything we needed and more, good TV, bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and modern.

I would say perfect for a couple.

Food was great around the apartment, especially recommend SottoSotto - Italian and superb food - bill came to about £50 for two people 3 courses + drinks.

High street is a minute down the road, and all the shops and supermarkets you need are a couple minutes away.

Cannot add any further comments about the apartment as it was just perfect, with no faults (we're picky and we did not complain once).

2 days in bath for a weekend getaway is sufficient to see all the sights. We then drove east towards a few forest and ended up in Stonehenge on the Sunday.

Would definitely recommend bringing a car as it's hassle free if you're willing to pay for car park - we paid £18 for Friday and Saturday as Sunday on street was free.

“Morning sunshine streaming in the 3 tall windows”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This glorious welcome in the mornings will be my lasting memory of John Wood House. That and the snuggly, comfy bed. Katie and Natasha really made us feel special, in fact everyone we met in Bath was friendly and helpful.
The location is great, good spacious rooms and the kitchenette was ideal for a cup of tea and a sandwich - we had no intention of doing any cooking, not with such a choice of restaurants on the doorstep.
A lot of places do full breakfasts, or the fancy eggs florentine stuff but if you just fancy a mug of tea and a bacon roll, head off for the station and turn right just after the Baptist Church to the Snack-Bar Cafe - wish we'd found this place earlier!
There were loads of stuff we didn't manage to do (like get a table at Sotto Sotto) so we'll have to come back..... and we'll be staying at John Wood House.

Liked best: So close to all the best of Bath.
Liked least: The water! We're not used to such hard water and bought bottles of water for making tea.

“Lovely flat in a great location”

This was our second stay at John Wood House. The flat is well equipped and is in a great location - minutes from the train station and a very short walk to restaurants, bars and shops. Despite being so central it's quiet and peaceful at night and the bed is very comfortable!

Natasha at the Bath Holiday Company was a great help and answered all our queries and provided recommendations. All in all we had a great stay and will return again in the future.

“Great Location, Very clean, did the job nicely”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 December 2012 for a stay in December 2012

This apartment is set on the second floor.

We arrived and were met by Katie who was very pleasant. She gave us our key and parking permit (which costs extra). I would definately recommend travelling by train (train station is at the bottom of the road 200 metres away. The only reason we didn't was that we have a 7 month old baby, so we had to bring half of our house with us!!

The location of this apartment can not be beaten. It is right in the centre of Bath. Everything you can possibly need is within walking distance.

The apartment is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. We used the kitchenette which as well stocked with utensils.

The only 1 tiny issue we found was that the heating was turned off during the day, so it did drop a little colder. Most people wouldn't notice as they wouldn't be in the apartment during this time, however we needed popped back now and again. However I sure if we had mentioned this then they would have done something about it!!

Overall I would definately recommend this apartment when visiting Bath.

“Fantastic apartment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2012 for a stay in November 2012

I stayed here for a week while working in Bath. It was just what I needed after six weeks away. Such a beautiful, clean and warm apartment with everything anyone would need. The location is perfect, only a few minutes walk away from the centre of Bath's shopping high street and the Bath Therma Spa. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Bath and will certainly be booking it next time I am there. Katie and Natasha were so helpful with my booking and made sure I had everything I needed for the week. Michael

“PERFECT LOCATION IN BATH”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

I stayed in this apartment with my husband for three nights in October 2012. Booking was straightforward ( we had to pay an extre returnable £150 breakage deposit) and our very helpful host, Katie, met us upon our arrival in Bath.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a lovely house in a very central location, about 1-2 minutes walk to Bath Abbey. The apartment is very clean, warm and spacious with all mod cons, The bed was super comfortable and soap/shower gel were provided. Katie also provides those little extras, e.g tea/coffee. The living room fronts on to a main road which can be very noisy with traffic and revellers at the weekend. This did not bother us at all as we enjoyed the lively atmosphere of Bath. We would love to return to Bath and would not consider staying anywhere else except John Wood House. Thanks to Katie who really went out of her way to help us.

“Absolutely fabulous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

John Wood House is the perfect place to stay in Bath. Just two blocks from the train station and one block from the city center, restaurants, pubs, tours, shops and grocery stores are just steps away. Despite being on a busy street, the apartment was quiet and spacious and has everything you need; a calm retreat in a wonderful town.
