“Hen Weekend”

The best Travelodge I've stayed in! Very clean & comfortable, well located for accessing shops & restaurants. Very good breakfast, staff very helpful & friendly, would definitely recommend for a short stay & I would certainly stay again if visiting Bath.

This was a wonderful weekend break with friends. Easy and lovely walk from hotel into Bath.
Room and bed were very comfortable and bed. No hair dryer in room. Had to go to reception. This was written in small print on slip you get room key card in. I didn't spot it and only realised no hair dryer on getting out of shower.
Bathroom could do with upgrade. Very good location and I would stay here again.

I'm notching up a few Travelodges now, and this was definitely the best so far! The recent re-furb has certainly spruced up the decor, but Bath Waterside was already blessed with larger rooms and a fantastic location - right by the river and a short walk into the middle of Bath.

The other positives were relatively cheap parking for central Bath - just £5 per day - and a reasonable buffet breakfast if required. We found it relatively easy to find breakfast nearby (the other side of the railway station) for less, but there wasn't a huge choice of outlets open before 9am. It was great to have a bath - unusual for a Travelodge - and tea/coffee refills readily available on reception. We had a very comfortable bed and, hurrah, decent-sized bath towels!

Only downside was that the slightly thin curtains were not able to keep out the (very welcome) sunshine and traffic noise, but otherwise it was very quiet. We didn't use the bar/food service in the evening, but it looked fairly small and limited in choice.

We were able to go away early-midweek so prices were suitably low in mid-March - it was definitely worth the price and I would recommend for convenience of location and availability of parking.

I stayed here for my hen weekend, (me & 33 other ladies). On reading reviews before we were not expecting a lot from our stay. But from the moment we arrived it was brilliant. As we walked into reception, the lovely staff were waiting with all our room keys, very helpful with giving their advice on which rooms were best for people. We had forgot to ask for 1 room late check out so we could leave all our cases while we shopped for the afternoon and it was no problem, they sorted it for us straight away! I was given room 306- Beautiful!! Would of happily paid a lot of Money for the room, when we got in we have a perfect night sleep. The rooms were all clean, warm, very comfy big beds! The hotel was within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and bars/clubs. Breakfast was lovely, lots of continental choice and your typical hot breakfast. Very tasty, we were impressed. The staff were Fabulous (sat 22.03.2014 to sun 23.03.2014) seeing as we were a large group, they still treated us lovely and were very helpful with directions, advice on restaurants and ordering our taxis! Really couldn't fault the hotel and we really are hard ladies to impress with nice hotels and customer service, but Very Impressed. I shall defiantly recommend and will be returning with the hubby!!

Room Tip: 306 is a fab room!!

Stayed here for Friday and Saturday night for a birthday weekend away in bath, paid £187 for two night's. Hotel was clean and tidy and reception staff very friendly. Room was also pretty reasonable with a big comfy bed. We were very happy with the hotel when you take into account what other hotels were charging. Plenty of car parking at a reasonable £5 per 24 hours. Just a five minute walk into the city. Will definatly use this hotel again but, only if the price is right. One thing to note is, as the hotel is fairly priced it attracts hen, stag do's etc staying in bath for the weekend. We were woken up at 2.30am by a squawking bunch of females on a hen do, didn't bother us but may bother you.

We stayed here for the second time on Friday. The rooms are clean & comfy which is all you need if you are not planning on staying in the hotel. We choose the waterside because its only £70 in the week & £100ish at the weekend, thats ex value for Bath. We probably wouldn't choose it if we were planning on staying in every evening, it is a Travelodge & does not promote itself as being anything else. We like to drop our bags off, freshen up & walk to town for a lovely meal & drinks, come back, sleep & out again for breakfast at a little cafe by the river.... lovely. The staff are always on hand & are very polite. What more could you ask for.
